Located at Bilpin, this  beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park!

There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and two in the forest. Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper.

This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet and laundry service (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce.

Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin!

We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice). Please discuss with your hosts for further details and availability :)

Please ensure you read rules and safety as well as directions, because GPS will take you to the wrong property.

The land is a nature retreat and developing animal rescue sanctuary so we love to share the space with respectful nature loving people :)

We look forward to welcoming you to our unique and magical place ! *****

Mountain Lagoon Hideaway was such a relaxing escape. Dannii has ensured there is space between campsites, plenty of privacy and great amenities. The toilet was cleaned and maintained daily (which made a stay with them so great after only being 6 weeks post ACL reconstruction.)
Dannii was a great host and was there if we needed anything but left us to enjoy our mountain escape!
Would stay again.

We stayed at Dannii’s campsite for two nights over Easter with four other families. We all had a great time and the kids absolutely loved it! D & A are friendly and welcoming without being intrusive and the location is lovely. The property offers options for bushwalking, swimming in the dam or just enjoying the peaceful beauty of trees, birds and butterflies. The lovely town of Bilpin is just 10 mins away with more options for family friendly activities and an amazing bakery!
Dannii can also offer massage sessions immersed in nature to those interested. I highly recommend it - it was the cherry on the cake!
Thank you so much,

Betty (one of 13 campers but we all loved it and agree!)

What a beautiful property and owners!
I had a choice of camp-site which the owners were more than happy to sort me with. I was given a welcome pack up on entry, delicious!
I recommend the bush walk to a few special places on the thicker bush areas at sunset, you won't regret it.
Will do again 9/10

Great private bush property with just a few sites spaced well over 100m apart so very private even if fully booked (although we were the only ones there when we stayed). Very friendly hosts who welcomed us with a nice plate of local produce and offered to fetch us more free firewood, but who also gave us plenty of space and privacy. Easy to find and only 90mins from central Sydney.

My partner and I had a fabulous stay at Mountain Lagoon Hideaway. It was a beautiful, quiet camp in stunning wilderness. Thank you Dannii and Adam for making our time so relaxing and memorable. Your little drop toilet is a bushland masterpiece. Looking forward to returning soon.

Had a great time - we shall return!

One of the better sites I’ve stayed at, if not best to date. Well spaced out with lots of firewood which Adam was kind enough to supply, though there is plenty of resource around. Perfect for anyone wanting a quick escape to nature. The site has a well maintained toilet hut and ventures off trail into some beautiful areas that Adam was kind enough to share with us.

There is also a rich culture and range of outdoor spots to visit in general around the area that further enhance the value of camping here which we will return for in future with a longer stay

The hosts have done a great job establishing the place and a made our stay very comfortable.

Until next time, Thanks Adam, Dannii & Dolly
