Awaken to the natural bush sounds of lyre birds. There's a creek to cool your heels and walking tracks around our 120 acres of natural bush land. A working farm, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.
Shared cooking facilities, common fridge and undercover area available (no sink). Septic toilet provide. We also provide gas for the BBQ, toilet paper and hand towels, lighting for the dining area in the shared shed.
Great for a weekend getaway - Situated 2 hrs Sydney, 1 hr Newcastle.
There is no set sites, please book for the number of people in your group and we will allocate your site accordingly.

There is plenty of room at Cranky Rock for camping and there is a flushing toilet, camp kitchen and shower. Bird life is great and so is the location. Ideally situated for enjoying the Hunter Valley.
Cranky Rock is an lovely grassy camping site surrounded by bushland and not far from Wollombi. Only site 1 was open at the time due to wet weather but there are other sites available for camping. There are 2 pit toilets near Site 1 and a shower is available a distance away. Lindsay and Pam are excellent hosts and the site is pet friendly.
Beautiful scenic property with large camping sites. Lindsay & Pam we’re great hosts, so friendly and nothing was a problem. Thoroughly enjoyed our Easter weekend & we will be back again!
Wonderful spot and great hosts who have gone to the effort of supplying loos and a shower. Plenty of room to camp. Wonderful birdlife and frogs atm with all of the water.
Please leave no trace- take ALL of your rubbish with you! Please don't spoil it for others. We picked up rubbish left by people in the shower. Others left all their rubbish at the front gate. You know who you are! Stop it.
Lindsay and Pam were lovely and helpful as were their team. There was ample room for everyone to set up their camps without intruding on others. Would definitely visit again. Thanks Cranky Rock.
