Situated 4km from the historic town of Taralga in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, Coop's Corner Camp is an idyllic camping spot on 7 acres of untouched farmland.

Create a base at Coop's Camp and enjoy the cool Taralga climes and local surrounds or a few cool ales at the Argyle Inn or the Taralga Hotel.

If adventure is what you're after check out the fishing in the many streams in the Lachlan Shire, 4x4 in the many National Parks or visit the Taralga Historical Society Museum.

Passing through or looking for an escape, Coops Camp is an ideal spot.

Visit the Stonequarry Cemetery, and feel free to use the bathroom.  The most notable burial is Colonel Edward Twynam (1877-1943) who was an original Anzac and also saw service in Rabaul where he was a resident magistrate. He was well liked in the district and considered to be "...one of nature's gentleman".

Campfires are allowed only when local regulations allow. Check with your host prior. Campers must take all rubbish with them on departure.

We hope you enjoy your stay.

The site could only loosely be referred to as a camp site. One site was on an angle unsuitable for a tent, very small and over looked a cemetery. The others were not useable, overgrown with ferns and appeared swampy. The place had very bad energy and appeared to not have been used in years. We paid but did not stay.

Great spot to get it away from it all. Very quiet. Lots of butterflies

Gorgeous town and very beautiful, peaceful place to camp. Only thing to note, is to make sure you bring levelling equipment if you want to park at the top of the field (the part with the nicest views). Easy to find and communication with the host was very good throughout.

Hipcamper Anne

Nice views on a dead end road

Great views, nice pine trees, helpful neighbour who assisted me with my tent and flat battery. Toilet didn't flush, no water. Hill faces east, so lose sunshine 2 hours before sunset. Can hear some sort of beating noise, 3 beats a second for a bit every so often, perhaps a pump or windmill? Enough to be annoyig. Can be heard from inside the tent, not outside, as the breeze overrides it. Nice and private location.

Highly recommended! Clear skies, long views, freshly mowed patch for our tent and a very friendly and welcoming host. Just 5mins down the road you can get an excellent meal at The Argyl Inn and there are toilets just a short walk down by the historic cemetery.

Great little spot with shade and views east to Tarlo River NP. Watch the clouds roll by and listen to the birds. Adam was a very accommodating and friendly host.
