At the foot of the Watagan mountains, close to the Watagan 4WD tracks, picnic areas, and bike tracks. Also close to Lake Macquarie where you will find fishing, boating, kayaking, canoeing etc. About a 20 - 40 min drive to beautiful beaches. Ideal for those wanting to be surrounded by birds, nature and a couple of friendly doggos. Also great for people wanting to try out their new camper, van or tent for the 1st time as we are an easy 1 hour drive north of Sydney on the M1 and close enough to shops for those forgotten items. Also we have unfenced dams, if you are camping with young children please consider carefully and let me know before booking. We have very basic bathroom facilities of 1 flushing toilet in the shed and an outdoor warm shower.

Bunyip's Top Paddock.

Perfect for an overnight stop over. Toilet and warm shower was basic, but all I really needed. Nice and quiet overnight. Loved the rooster alarm clock in the morning

Bunyip's Brooke's Nook -Primitive

Tranquility close to home

We love our camping trips to Bunyips Camp and have just completed our fourth visit. Each campsite is very generous in size and far enough away from other campers that you can enjoy your privacy while listening to the local birdlife. Given that Bunyips is only 40 minutes from home we can often set up camp for the weekend and have plenty of time to relax in the tranquil surroundings.

Bunyip's Wattle Grove - primitive

Each camp site was private and well maintained. Being able to buy firewood there to use in the supplied fire pit was a bonus. We would definitely stay there again. Lisa, the host, was very welcoming.

Bunyip's Top Paddock.

Great stay.

Beautiful space, nice and flat. Lisa was very welcoming and the dogs are super friendly. It was super handy to have a shower and a toilet. The only small downside for us was that I could hear the main road during the night which took away a little of the wild feeling. Great stay overall

Bunyip's Wattle Grove - primitive

Beautiful place to camp!!! Host was friendly and my puppy loved it and made great friends with Brown Paws. We will definitely be back.
