Nestled in the beautiful Clunes hills with a combination of natural bush and 600 old macadamia trees, Booyong Farm can give you that private off grid experience while being only 15 minutes to Bangalow, 25 minutes to Lismore and 30 minutes to Byron Bay.

There is abundant wildlife on the property such as wallabies, echidnas, platypus, eagles, other birdlife... our two old ponies & Bowie the dog :)

Choose from 3 sites in either the macadamia fields, the main farm plateau or beside the creek. Note: for creek and macadamia field access you would need a 4WD.

The spring fed freshwater creek is accessible year round for all sites and is nice to cool off in after a bush walk either on the property or at one of the many breath-taking locations nearby.

There is so much to do in the area... from fine dining & horse riding to lazy days on the beach. No matter what time of year it is there is always something to experience here in the Byron Shire.

It's a beautiful well maintained farm. We enjoyed walking through the towering trees, bird watching, and the river is absolutely beautiful. Camping sites are a little more private if you have 4wd access. I met James and he was very friendly and happy to have a yarn.

Booyong farm was gorgeous! My partner and I stayed by the river in campsite 3 and it was everything we could have hoped for. Our pup loved it too.
Thanks Sarah and James, hopefully we’ll be back soon.

We drove down from Brisbane for the weekend as it’s fairly close for a last minute trip - Sarah & James are honestly sooo lovely and welcoming - this is a new camp but can tell it will certainly be quite popular! Our site was so cute and by the creek so we could listen to the flowing water. A lovely area, lots around to explore and would recommend.

What a place!
It was mine and my partners first time using hipcamp and how lucky we were to come across this gem!
Pulling up to booyong farm we couldnt believe our luck. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous and Sarah and James were so welcoming and friendly. They showed us our spot and told us a bit about their farm while we gave pats to their beautiful and friendly pup, they then let us go to explore the property. Beautiful macadamias trees, horses, cows and gorgeous scenery were surrounding us. As the sun set, we walked back up to our spot as we didnt want to miss the beautiful sunset that we would have front row seats to. We set up a fire and enjoyed the last bit of daylight. As the sun set, it made way for an amazing night of star gazing as we then settled into our van for a quiet and peaceful sleep. Perfect for a couple or small group looking for a chill place to stay in nature. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be back as it was the best night of our trip.
Thanks again Sarah and James for the hospitality
