Special Crew Camp
Relaxing peaceful stay
Matthew was a great host. Very friendly and hospitable. We stayed in a new site on his property which had 4wd access only and away from the dam and toilets and was a little rough underfoot - but the benefit was that it was totally away from the other campers so was very quiet and peaceful!!
The other sites looked good though and it's a really nice property overall. The dam and climbing wall looked great too.

The Grassy Paddock
What a spot!
Bonnie Doon was such an incredible property and the facilities were tip top. We camped at the grassy paddock and the spot was perfect, toilets near by, easy to access, close to the damn and communal area. Matt was an excellent host and all round legend, he was there when you needed but not imposing during your stay. You can tell he has put so much into making the property what it is and has created the perfect spot. The guided walk was worth the additional fee and was absolutely spectacular. The property has lots of activities to keep you busy and the views from sunset lookout are one of a kind. The damn is the perfect spot to spend the day! Thanks for having us Matt, we can’t wait to come back 🏕️

The West Camp
We had a great time at Bonnie Doon. The host was very friendly and informative. Its a great spot to camp for offroaders wanting to stay somewhere near Newnes.

Lower Camp
A great property - we'll come back!
We've been to Bonnie Doon twice now and really love the property. The dam is lovely and there are plenty of handy facilities. It's close to Blackheath which gives you access to shops if you need, but it feels secluded away in the mountains - we were very much in our own lovely little world. It's also brilliant for larger groups. And Matthew is a great host too. We'll be back :)

The North Camp
Caravan adventure trip!
We absolutely loved our stay at Matthew's property with our caravan.
From a communication perspective Matt was awesome! Quick to reply, super helpful in the pre booking process and once we were on site he was unreal. He check in on us time to time and see if we needed anything, he even chopped some wood for us for our fireplace on the sport AND took us on a guided tour to some epic look out locations on his property !
As for the property its such a bonus having somewhere close to Sydney that makes you feel like youre completely off grid, we hitched our caravan, and within 2 hours we were cooking dinner our bbq under the stars. The facilities were quite good as well, I must admit .... drop down toilets are a new experience for us but they were clean, free from bugs and were pleasant to use. The homemade pizza over and sitting area was epic and on a cracking spot facing the dam.
Overall we loved our experience and we highly recommend booking here.
