Binalong Forest Retreat is a 30 acre corner of the beautiful Tweed Shire in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Consisting of 25 acres of tall native forest, with a five acre clearing for the dwelling, studio building and sheds, it is primarily an artist's retreat. Totally private and surrounded by the natural environment, staying here is akin to being in a national park. So if you love nature, away from the hustle and bustle of cities and suburbia, you will appreciate this place we call home. We see ourselves as custodians of the forest, protecting it for future generations. This property is also registered with Land for Wildlife. Being on a ridge Binalong Court is a steep bitumen road to the cul-de-sac. Number 59 has a 600m bitumen driveway, steep at first then a gentle climb up the side of the ridge. Drive with care here as the driveway was impacted by the flooding rains over summer which blocked drains and eroded the edges in places. We have an insurance claim lodged and are awaiting repairs.

Fantastic view, only 1km to the rail trail and close to Burringbar. We enjoyed tent camping there in a quiet, quite private spot. Host was also helpful and readily contactable through the Hipcamp system to answer questions.

Largely flat spot with amazing views out to the beach. Suited for smaller groups (due to size of area and proximity to Neighbor). Good access, fire pit and also power! Serena is a helpful and friendly host and we’d like to thank her for sharing her property with us.
