This was a great staging place if you need reliable internet. Richard and Julio took care of me well. I could sit on a covered dining patio that was mostly not in use this early in the season. Richard checked on me several times. The site is on a concrete baseball court, so I'm not sure how someone would set up a tent there, but it appears some have done it--maybe somewhere else on the property? It's level, and that is a big plus for RTTs and RVs. Yes, there is road noise--it is just a little off the highway, but in that area, everything is just a little off the highway--there's the Rio Grande, the highway beside the river, and a little flat land before the canyon walls start to rise. In all, it is a good site from which to take off for adventures on the Rio Grande, or to do some much-needed work on the computer to meet work requirements (before taking off for adventure!).

Richard was very accommodating and didn’t have a problem with us coming in later in the evening . He was chatty and gave us interesting info about the area and places to see . Although our site wasn’t level it apparently wasn’t the usual place he has rvs park as that area was covered in snow . We were just happy to have a place to plug in for the night and a bonus was the bathroom right outside our van with warm water . The wifi was also good . So all in all a great place to stop along your travels . It is beside a beautiful river with stunning views of the gorge near by .

I was headed to Taos in my van to ski, but I knew it was still snowing up there, so I was delighted to find Richard's perfect little spot along the way! The site had an electrical outlet and a heated restroom with sink and flush toilet, which was a luxury in the winter. Richard was a gracious host, communicated well, and the property was very easy to find. Would definitely stay here again.

Plenty of room to stretch out behind the cafe and a tasty breakfast and coffee before hitting the road. Make sure to contact Richard while you have cell service as it is harder to get a signal in the gorge.

This is an awesome spot. Rico knows Taos and can recommend great things for your trip. You can also check out his cafe which is collocated with the site. Very friendly and welcoming! The only thing I would change if I could about this site is the noise from the road. Even late at night I heard cars zooming by which surprised me. Could have just been because it was Labor Day weekend and lots of traffic through Taos.
