Plenty of room to stretch out behind the cafe and a tasty breakfast and coffee before hitting the road. Make sure to contact Richard while you have cell service as it is harder to get a signal in the gorge.

This is an awesome spot. Rico knows Taos and can recommend great things for your trip. You can also check out his cafe which is collocated with the site. Very friendly and welcoming! The only thing I would change if I could about this site is the noise from the road. Even late at night I heard cars zooming by which surprised me. Could have just been because it was Labor Day weekend and lots of traffic through Taos.

The host was great with communication, and I believe means well to provide a Hipcamp spot, but the area was not for us. The patio is a shared space with cafe patrons. The area was cluttered and not very clean. Sleeping area is a basketball court. On a busy highway. Did not feel like a safe space for our children. We decided not to stay.

Such a great area. Everything we needed for comfort. We knew we were going to run off of a 110 extension cord and the weather makes that super easy. Nice cool nights, you'd never need a full 30/50 connection as AC would be over the top. A perfect blend of privacy and company with the restaurant nearby. Richard communicates very well. DEFINITELY need pro level backing skills to get a trailer onto the pad. I had read other reviews and knew what to expect and was glad our Tacoma is powerful in reverse as the pad is uphill to get onto it. Also our Rpod trailer is modified to have more ground clearance which helped as well. Super nice level concrete pad as it is a basket all court for and we were even able to leave room behind our trailer for a little actual basketball! (we brought our ball :)

We enjoyed our stay with Richard. This was a great spot to visit the Gorge and Taos. Richard was great when we arrived, helping us with backing up the trailer to the spot. The spot is a no-thrills spot, but the covered patio we were able to use was awesome. And the food from Richard’s restaurant was very good!

Had a great stay here! Comfortable patio with good lighting, a fire place, and wood ready to go. We arrived well after dark so that was awesome. Sarkis (I hope I'm spelling that at least close to correctly) was around when we arrived and super friendly and helpful in giving us the lay of the land and making sure we were set with everything we may need.

Safe place to sleep. Rico was hospitable. Look for the cement basketball court behind the Yacht Club.
