We have a 1.5 acre homestead, broken into a main property and an annex property. With the panoramic mountain views and no neighbors but us, you will feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, even though we are only 10 minutes from a big commercial area. The stars at night go on forever in one direction, and in the other shimmer the beautiful lights of the city of Albuquerq

The stars at night go on forever in one direction, and in the other shimmer the beautiful lights of the city of Albuquerque.
We have 1 RV site on our main property and 3 on our annex property. At this time the annex property is not fenced, but it does offer more privacy than our main property.
Every site has it's own picnic table and fire pit. We provide an Eco-Friendly composting toilet and hand pump sink. We provide an area for you to dump your grey and black tanks and we are more than happy to pump water into your tanks. However, we are completely off grid, so we DO NOT offer any electricity or internet at this time. In addition to RVs, this site is appropriate for pop-up campers, camper vans and car top tents.
On our off grid homestead, you are welcome to visit with the chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats. In the surrounding area, you can take a desert nature walk full of cactus, birds and rabbits. With a 10 - 30 minute drive you can be at Petroglyph National Monument, Old Town Albuquerque and Coronado Historical Site.
Please note that we are on a dirt road off of a dirt road. These roads can sometimes be difficult for lower cars or some types of RVs.

It was really special. The native plants and unobstructed mountain views were outstanding. Good birding too! The hosts certainly made us feel welcome.
Whimsy in the desert
What a wonderful experience! Heidi and her husband have worked so hard to create such a whimsical space that reflects the beauty of the desert. Would definitely recommend!
Put a smile on our faces
We totally enjoyed our stay here. The kids enjoyed the space to throw balls and play. The composting toilet was also a hit. The area was clean and quiet. We loved the lighted path and fairy tree for relaxing in the evening. We wished for another night there to visit the animals and enjoy the fun quirky campground. We would stay here again for sure! The hosts were welcoming and accommodating.
Heidi and her husband are an absolute delight! I arrived later than expected and they were there to guide me to my spot. It was quite windy that night so I opted to camp in my vehicle. The chicken eggs I purchased were amazing!!! Overall grand experience 😊
High desert pause
Heidi and Kahlil were awesome! Super personable and helpful. Campsite had everything we needed from composting toilet to amazing view. Even a newborn baby goat and a hot air balloon landing!
Excellent stop on our journey.
