It is a single room with Kitchenette, shower, bathroom, a queen size bed, and work space. The model green tiny house was designed and built by the owner with her 30 year passion for designing and building naturally warm and cool spaces. The Dalle de Verre Stained Glass, tile and wood work her signature. The Casita is located 9 miles north of Madrid and 20 minutes southwest of Santa Fe off of the scenic byway NM 14, the old Turquoise Trail. We also have a garden and you can harvest fresh seasonal greens. There is a Fire Pit below the casita on the South side that can be used with permission and a fire wood fee.

This is a beautiful place, with privacy, gorgeous sunrises, peacefulness, and a quirky, artistic sense of fun. Brenda is a hoot (and I mean that in the VERY BEST sense of the word): friendly, funny, and thoughtful. I mentioned that Ms. Shorty (me) needed a stool to get up in bed and she delivered one within minutes. We arrived to find coffee, cookies and snacks, and towels already provided, too. The *only* less than wonderful aspect was the traffic noise from the highway, but that’s in no way her fault.

We had a great time at Brenda's place! Beautiful property that is secluded but also within a 25 minute drive to Santa Fe. Brenda accommodated me and 2 of my girl friends with an extra mattress, though the place would be best for a couple (limited space and hot water). The studio has all the essentials and a super comfy bed. Brenda even graciously invited us over for a "Mothers Farm Gratitude" feast, bonfire, singing + drum circle at her property! Note that you should probably have an SUV- short but bumpy dirt road to the house.

Lovely space. Beautiful natural light and high ceilings. Couldn’t ask for more from glamping experience. Shower is gorgeous. Sky is gorgeous. Driveway to get to oasis a bit steep and bumpy. Overall very pleased with space and host. Peaceful, comfy, and great screens over door to keep bugs out and let air flow. Lots of outlets and wifi.

The oasis in the desert is on an enchantingly beautiful piece of earth. Brenda was the best host. This place is not just a rented home, it’s an experience.

What a beautiful cottage - lots of light and great amenities (the shower only has warm water for one shower though). All in all a magical spot, convenient to Santa Fe and the freeway. We loved our stay!!
Such a cute little spot! I arrived late and only had minimal trouble finding it in the dark - so if I can do it, anyone can! Super cute, cozy, clean, and had all the ameneties I needed. I wish I didn't arrive so late and I could of enjoyed it more!
We loved staying at the Oasis in the Desert casita. Brenda was a fabulous host. My husband, 9 year old twins and I stayed for a week and would defiantly stay there again. The boys got to play with some of the puppies on the ranch and pet the horses. The best part for them was digging right outside the backdoor of the casita. It was wonderful to disconnect for the week.
Oasis in the Desert is a lovely passive solar adobe casita with artistic touches throughout. It's a perfect spot to get away, yet a quick drive to all that Santa Fe offers. The casita is quaint, but airy due to all the windows. It's perfect for individuals or couples, and although there is an optional air mattress, it might be cramped for more than a couple people. It's located along the Turquoise Trail, a scenic byway connecting Albuquerque + Santa Fe, and only about 9 miles from the charming + eccentric artists' town of Madrid. The casita itself is well appointed with a comfy bed, nice shower + everything you'd need in the small kitchenette. Great views of the Northern New Mexican landscape + hiking right from the casita. Brenda is a welcoming host, and gave me a tour of everything she does at Mother's Farm Camp. In addition to hosting a children's day camp during the summer months, she has horses, a large organic garden and raises Golden Retrievers. The dogs made some occasional noise during the night, so light sleepers be advised. I always pack earplugs when I'm traveling, and was fine. I'd love to stay for a month-long artist retreat-- this would be the perfect place. She plans to add a Tipi to the property in the future, so I'll be on the lookout for that!
