This is a small adorable one of a kind custom built trailer with a comfortable single bed with space for a couple of bags or suitcases underneath. It has windows on all sides covered with bug screens, curtains and a front porch with awning. There is an outdoor rustic cold water shower and an outdoor composting toilet close by and a utility sink for washing up. Great fiber optic Wifi in the trailer with outlets for your phone charger or laptop with desk space. This space is not heated but is insulated and comes with a super cozy down comforter.
For cooking you can use the kitchen/lounge area at the campground or use the fire pit to cook on.
This is a sweet plot of land, very rustic and offers a unique outdoor experience. Poppy Suite is located on old farmland dating back to the 1800s, where you can enjoy the amazing beauty, bird life, neighboring cattle, coyote, snakes and other wildlife, including our pack of lovable rescue dogs: Clovis, Cleo and Chance.
The area is stunning, sparsely populated and extremely quiet with a rich pond ecosystem.
We have 32 acres of pasture with accessible riverfront on the Pecos River, a mile from the campground (walking only).
Many people, according to the reviews, enjoy their visit to our farm camp:
Mil Abrazos means “a thousand hugs” in Spanish, and that’s exactly how you’ll feel when you leave. Kitty S.
This is one of my favorite stays on Hipcamp. The property is beautiful. Jessica K.
Beautifully quiet. All I could hear were the frogs, crickets and birds, even though there were other campers across the yard. The essentials were all there and I had a lovely time just watching the stars in that huge expanse of sky. Diny C.
10,000 stars, Wonderful place. I would go back in a heartbeat. Doug G.
We are 1.5hr from Santa Fe, 2hr from Albuquerque and 30min from Las Vegas, New Mexico. Bring all the food you need. We are 35 minutes from the closest grocery store!

Beautiful location that feels remote but really isn’t too far from nearby towns or Santa Fe. Loved the quiet, star filled nights. The dogs accepted me into their pack right away and we had fun walking to the river. Poki is an excellent host who treated me to a nice soup my first night and it was good to share a warm meal and conversation with him. Was traveling solo as a woman and felt totally safe and not for a moment worried about anything. Very much recommend this place.
I can’t say enough positive things about the Mil Abrazos Land tust and Poki! It was such a lovely stay. I was greeted by Cleopatra, one of the adorable pups, and then welcomed by Poki. The property is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need! I was so cozy all night! Poki was an incredible host and so lovely to chat with. I highly highly recommend staying here!
Staying at Mil Abrazos was better than we expected. The land is beautiful, the dogs wonderful, and Poki so welcoming. it was a luxury to have the nice communal kitchen to ourselves (basically an outdoor kitchen for those worried about COVID) after a few days of camping. Totally recommend staying here, and definitely take time to enjoy the river walk.
Poki was fantastic. So welcoming and easy going. His directions were clear. It's just a little ways off of Highway 40. Far enough that you feel like you've found a lovely private gem and community, but close enough that it doesn't add tons of time to your trip. The dogs were sweethearts! total lovers- raucousy, but well trained. I went for a walk through cow fields and they led the way. This property feels like it's on its way toward becoming its real self - it's in progress, but full of love. The bed in the poppy cabin was comfortable and they warmed it up for me upon arrival. I did get a little cold in the middle of the night, but had plenty of blankets. A nice plus -There was an indoor bathroom with warm water. I arrived a little early and they were completely kind and amenable and flexible. The sunset was gorgeous! In the morning I also left early and it was easy to find my way out in the dark and fog. I'd recommend it and return.
