Johnathan has a set up for several well-marked campsites in the high desert area near the 4 corners region. We never actually met him but he was quick to respond when we booked at the last minute. We were actually the only campers that night and enjoyed to space and quiet. Clean porta potties nearby were a plus. A great spot!

Traversed the sandy road and picked the most level spot for camping as we slept in back of our converted Honda Elementsunset over the ridge- stars were amazing as well!

Mountain View campground was a good alternative for pitching our tent after our reservation got canceled for Chaco Canyon. Jonathan was very responsive to our request and gave good instructions about his site. In the end what worked best was FaceTiming for instructions with signage having blown down advertising the campground.

The place is close and yet a bit out of Aztec, NMSU. Farmington is just down the road snd a good dizef town with lots of shopping and restaurants. The Aztec ruins were super interesting as was the Navajo Dsm.

We were soaked in the tent with a storm advisory for flooding and experienced a deluge of rain for 3 hours, but it was clear after 11pm. The rain soaked in the ground and dried up by 11 am before departure.

Jonathan the host was super nice and very communicative. His dog Twix was a sweet puppy and entertaining.

New campground
Johnathan friendly dude, came out and made sure everything was ok and showed me where the bike trails were.
Well laid out, spots are well marked.
Porta Potty (a plus) These get cleaned way more often. than the permanent structures I have been too.
WIll be staying here in the future.
