My daughter & I are on a road trip & we enjoyed our two night stay here. We loved the little kitchen cook/prep space in the trees by the firepit. Other than a few vehicles going by during the day it was pretty quiet, especially at night. My daughter loved the sweet dogs & exploring the area with the host’s son.

Upon arriving, we realized that this campsite is not private at all and we would not be comfortable staying here. We left immediately. Place looked mostly like the pictures, but I wish the listing would have stated how close the site is to peoples’ living spaces.
We had a terrific time camping on Stephanie's property in rural NM. Her space is tucked away in a neighborhood with properties just like it not far outside of Taos. Upon arrival she greeted us immediately and showed where to set up camp, instructions for using the outhouse/shower, and gave recommendations for where to eat in town. She let us know the property is in transition while she builds a more permanent home for herself and her kids. She was very kind, respectful of our space, and her kids were too. We also spent time chatting with Stephanie after dinner our first night - she's very knowledgeable and fascinating to talk to, so that's a plus if you're interested in learning about the locality and its history.
The property itself is absolutely gorgeous, the stars were bright at night, and the campground is clean and welcoming. We'll definitely be going back and can't wait to see what's new next time. I'd recommend this Hipcamp property to anyone who's interested in camping around Taos.
We loved camping here with a bazillion stars to gaze upon. Fabulous site, well organized, clean and amazing host. Definitely a must camp experience! Wish we would have had more time here but so happy to have made these memories.
Fantastic setting, amazing view, all the amenities needed for camping. LOVED this place
We really enjoyed staying on Stephanie’s land. The proximity to both Taos and Red River, as well as recreation spots along the Rio Grande was great. Stephanie was very helpful and welcoming, while at the same time respectful of privacy. The space was great - nice sun and shade options, outhouse, as well as seating, tables and outdoor cooking stove. Would definitely recommend.
Nice secluded area in the mountains, central to alot of great fishing spots.
Lovely site right next to the Lama Foundation. We were super pleased with the reception of the host, and the ample space to spread out and not feel surrounded by other campers, as one would at a park campsite.
Stephanie was an amazing host and ensured we were well prepared when a snow storm rolled in. She was very responsive to communication and very accommodating with our rooftop tent. The camp is amazing and very peaceful with plenty to check out around the area. Highly recommend this Hipcamp!
