Camp Rio Tent Sites
Great location. Clean and orderly property. Friendly and welcoming staff and owners. Great food truck! Shrimp and grits, Santa Fe Pie and Cheese, Beer and broccoli soup were all delicious and fairly priced.

Overall a very nice place to stay. Bathrooms were spacious, private and very clean. I stayed at a tent site. Very dusty and quite a few moles or some unknown creatures live in this area. They could divert some water from the stream and plant some grass to keep the dust down. Now the bad…a 5th wheel moved in 2 spaces away. Very noisy group and worst of all they were there for hunting season. At 5 am sharp for 3 days they were up rattling about loading the days gear etc. Could have found a better site for them or me.

Worth coming back to!
I stayed in my tent at Camp Rio on my way to the eclipse, and I'll be back again very soon. Ristras (the food truck) was set up in the evening, but I didn't get it on this trip. Maybe next time. It's a beautiful quiet place to stay, with convenient amenities like wifi and climate-controlled bathrooms with flushing toilets. Campfire rings are available to rent to keep you warm at night. It was colder at camp than the weather app said it was, according to the thermometer on my motorcycle.

Large, clean heated bathrooms with hot showers. It was very cold and windy so we didn’t have a chance to explore, It was a nice place to stay the night
