Beautiful location with incredible views of Pecos mountains and full hook ups for trailers. The hosts were very responsive and directions were spot on, right off the highway. There are no trees for shade which was hot during the day but made for great viewing of the full moon at night. A filter is helpful for water that has a strong smell (host was wonderful to bring bottle of fresh water to us). The lovely pond with resident duck has small row boat to enjoy (bring insect repellent for the horse flies - host was great in warning us). Nice break for our families for a couple days.
Definitely worth a stay!
What a beautiful place! The scenery was amazing with a small pond and rowboat. Ducks and other wildlife abound. The site was nice and level with full hookups. The owners met us on arrival and were very nice and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again!
Warm host, lovely land
Brenda is an incredibly warm host and the land is lovely. There were a few things I was confused by what I would like to share as a heads up for future travelers, you will not be camping directly on the small pond and there are two sites:, the outback and the overview, so it’s not a one site spot. That being said it was very quiet and peaceful and I definitely recommend it.
A wonderful spot.
This is a wonderful spot with great views. There are 2 spots next to each other but with plenty of space between them. Hookups were good and the WIFI was very good too. The directions were spot on! Brenda and her husband are very welcoming and great communicators. We were there on a rainy day. The sites have gravel with good drainage so mud was not much of a problem. We only stayed one night so didn't have a chance to explore the area. We would go back.
A wonderful experience all around!!
We were supposed to stay two nights, but we had some mishaps and only made it to our second night stay. SO glad we got at least 1 night at The Outback, it was wonderful! Brenda, the host, responded quickly to all of my communications, and when we arrived, she and her husband , Jimmy greeted us, brought us some firewood, told us about the property, etc, they were so friendly and helpful. There are two sites next to each other but with ample space in between. It was a gorgeous property to walk around, and very peaceful. To be in a beautiful, secluded spot and have full hook-ups… couldn’t ask for more! This was a great first Hipcamp experience for us, we would definitely stay again. Thanks Brenda and Jimmy!!
Memorable vacation in santa fe
My family had an excellent experience with Brenda! Beautiful property, private and very quite. Nearby fishing lake was awesome. We hung out in Santa FE during the day and under the stars at night. Camp spot has all the amenities (water, power, sewer). Brenda went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Better than staying at most campgrounds!
Wonderful get away!
We live in Albuquerque and we wanted to get away from the city for a day and night over the weekend. The site was beautiful and the camp hosts very kind. It was very relaxing. Next time I'll stay another couple of days and branch out and visit the river and other near by attractions in Pecos.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful property.
