We offer a secluded site nestled among the pine trees that surround our lavender farm. At the birth of this nation, George Washington travelled through this area and declared, "What a pleasant valley!" Our farm, nestled in the Pleasant Valley area of Monmouth County is home to NJ's first lavender farm. The stream at the base of the valley babbles through our farm. When the lavender is in bloom you will smell the sweet scent of this amazing herb. Off-season the fragant pines are the dominant scent. Nearby, you will find hiking trails, county and state parks with fishing and boating and hip towns for antiquing and terrific food. A short drive and you can be on the beach enjoying the surf.

Great stay! Beautiful property and so much wildlife all around. Can't wait to go back!
Ellen is so kind and accommodating. They had firewood ready for us and water available for cleaning utensils or bushing our teeth.. They only rent to one group at a time. It was so nice to camp individually without others around us, so we had a great weekend away. 10/10 would recommend. Great stay!
The campsite is in a pine grove in a secluded spot on Ellen's beautiful lavender farm. Ellen is the perfect host, friendly and welcoming, and then lets you settle in and enjoy your stay. There is a new fire pit for your camp fire, and plenty of chairs to gather a small group together. Also, a nice sturdy table for food prep. The area for pitching the tent has a slope , so choose where you pitch your tent with care.

Thank you for visiting. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. I hope you can visit during lavender bloom sometime.
Wonderful hosts, perfect place for an easy outdoor stay with the family. Ellen and her husband showed around their farm and dedicated a lot of their time to showing my kids the animals and how a farm works. Thank you so so much!!

It was our pleasure to host your lovely family.
Was so much fun! Peaceful and full of American history! My boys loved the chickens! And our hosts were so welcoming! Can’t wait to visit again when the lavender is all blooming
We had a great time, Ellen gave us some fresh eggs and lavender soap! The campsite was nice and secluded, a little close to the road but very quiet, especially at night. The fire pit area with chairs was very nice The farm was beautiful, Ellen was very friendly and helpful getting us set up. Thank you!

Thank you for visiting!
It’s a tough one; our family is decided on the best feature. Some loved the view, some the fire pit, one the tunnel of trees to and from the camp site. It was just pretty darn great. Wish we had more time to take in the calm…
Only critique, not a large flat spot for a tent. We just positioned our tents to sleep with our heads uphill. Truly wasn’t a problem; just something to think about when booking this site
All in all, it was wonderful

Thanks for staying with us. Have a great summer!
This is a very interesting site. It's nestled between the front of the owner's home and the street that is nearly 100 feet away, but it is dead quiet at night and feels like you're a mile into a secluded forest. It's very dark at night and tucked inside of a mini pine forest, which made for great cover from rain as well as a comfortable pine needle floor to sit your tent on. We didn't hear a single car after 11pm or so which was nice. They also have lavender plants for sale as well as many other items.
The campfire pit setup is very nice. It's perfect for cooking on as it has a grill grate to the side of the fire, and it also comes with 5 or so chairs, including 2 comfortable adirondack chairs as well as a folding table to put all your goods on. They including a decent amount of firewood, but I would message them ahead of time to make sure theres enough. We brought some bundles of our own just in case. They had a very clean portable toilet for us to use as well as a shower bag that you can use to clean your dishes or wash your hands.
Bring your own drinkable water and any cooking tools you would need.

The host were very friendly and provided us with plenty of amenities! The site itself was very well kept and the trail leading to it was adorable. They were also understanding when we got delayed on our travels and couldn't make it in till later.
Definitely would recommend this for someone looking for a simple cozy area but still within the general public!
