We have 10 large sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, and can fit a few small tents. Sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and can only be accessible with SUV's or you can park and walk in. Of the farther sites only site 9 is a drive into the site location. With sites 7, 8 & 10 you park either above or below the sites. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or racoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoir within a 20 minutes drive, for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through and around our property, including a ten minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Kathleen and her relatives were very welcoming and helpful! The previous group of campers had forgotten to bring their trash out with them and by the time we had arrived they were already on cleaning up and making sure everything was in order. They made great conversation and we got the chance to meet their very friendly pets. The land is beautiful and the trails made for very nice short hikes to explore the hills.
Beautiful site. Kathleen was very attentive and responded very fast to all my questions. She was accommodating and made sure we were taken care of. We had a great time even in the rain. The site was very spacious. We set up 3 tents, a pop up toilet station and a canopy with plenty room to spare. Would definitely come here again.
Unfortunately it rained in the area, and we were too late to change the reservation in accordance with the host’s policy. In the end, we didn’t go. /:
I had a great night camping at paradise valley homestead. Kathleen greeted me when I arrived and let me know which sites were open and could fit my rooftop tent. It’s a very large property with some trails to walk down branching off a few of the camp sites. The night was quiet and peaceful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to camp in north jersey.
Kathleen’s place was lovely!! The waterfall is easy to get to and gorgeous, a lot of wildlife to respectfully observe, and the scenery is beautiful! We were only a few minutes away from some sites and the house but felt very secluded! Thanks Kathleen, we had a great stay and it was lovely meeting you.
We loved camping at Paradise Valley Homestead. The site (7) was nice and large, covered by trees. We had room for our two person tent, a tarp + two chair setup and the fire pit without feeling cramped. There is a small pond at the back of this site, so you’re listening to bull frogs and birds and other woodland creatures. Lovely! We liked this site a lot because you are tucked away (site 8 is close though but no one was booked there when we visited - would be a great double booking for groups!) and you are in between the front with the outhouse + firewood and the back where the waterfall and highland trail are. Because it’s tucked in the back and there are some rocks, we parked a bit away and walked stuff in (we packed accordingly). Kathleen described it as “about 3 trailers length” which we felt was accurate. Would love to come back!

Kathleen's space was perfect for a quick getaway from the city! We had plenty of space and felt private, but still accessible and easy to get firewood/ toilets etc. The hike to the waterfall was very fun and manageable! Can't wait to tell our friends about this great spot!
