Sites 1 through 4 are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods available only for a couple of tents. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear or racoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. The sites are mowed fields or partly secluded cleared woods. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

What a wonderul peaceful place. Kathleen is a gem of a person and is a wonderful host. The site itself was private and secluded and under the shade of trees. They have provided a composting outhouse for use as well as toilet paper and hand sanitizers. The hikes available were a great option to explore and the waterfall was just icing on the cake. So peaceful and nice. Will definitely recommend kathleen and her sites for an amazing experience.
What a gem! Kathleen was funny, friendly and heđpful. The site #4 was excellent across from fire and tables and near the lovely loo. Glimpsed other campers, but felt like everyone had space. The 2 mile drive in on gravel, thru woods set us up to leave the highway and city behind. The bottle house was an inspiration & the walk to the waterfall was well marked and delightful. What a wonderful host and sweet spot with a chorus of katydids and owls. I hope to be back very soon. It was my first hipcamp and I loved every minute!
Beautiful spot & a waterfall!
Kathleen's spot is great! It's a fun little drive back on a dirt/gravel road into the middle of the woods. The sites are nicely spread apart for some privacy. We had Site # 3, which was perfect for us. Our Itasca Navion perfectly fit inside the area she had cleaned out. We were in full shade all day long which was perfect!
Please make the short 5-ish minute hike down to the waterfall/stream. You will not be disappointed. It is beautiful!
My only "heads ups" for the sites:
1) There is a vine with what looks like grapes growing on it. They were dropping on the ground. As you know, grapes & dogs do not mix so just be vigilant of that.
2) There are also a ton of millipedes that the dogs were hunting, of course.
We would 100% recommend this site and would love to come back!
We really loved staying at Paradise Valley Homestead and sort of hope that it can stay a lovely little secret for a while! There is lots of space to spread out and it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere even though you're sort of in suburban New Jersey. Kathleen was super communicative and her mother-in-law was adorable and so friendly!
Quiet little spot
I really liked hanging here for the weekend. The trails around the property were nice to explore, the camp sites were clean and easy to find and set up in, and the ground were beautiful. There were campers in the other sites when we went, and while it wasn't entirely secluded, everyone else was quiet and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Don't forget the bug spray, the mosquitoes were out in force when we went, but you can't expect to be in the woods and not have bugs. This was a chill little get away that I would come back to again.
Paradise Valley was great! Our host Kathleen was communicative and helpful, and went out of her way to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay (specifically - s'mores!)
We stayed at site 6, which is set back in the woods from the other sites and the common area. It had a little more privacy than the other sites, which was perfect for us.
Definitely recommend Paradise Valley!
Clean an easy access
It was a very relaxing stay. Easy chick in and out. Clean bathroom and nice trail for a short hike. There is a little community space where you can sit, have fire, and have a chat with other campers. Or you can just pick up a fire pit and have it at your campsite. I recommend this place to others.
Large campsite on a quiet property
Kathleen’s campsites are excellent! I stayed on #6, which is a bit farther back from the driveway. The site and the property overall were a perfect balance of feeling secluded yet not in the middle of nowhere! There was firewood and fire pits for purchase/rent, a composting toilet, and water spigot. I recommend this site and hope to return!
