Relax with a stream-side crackling fire and a sky full of stars. Hear the local wildlife of foxes and coyotes. Fall asleep to the sound of the babbling brook. Wake up to the chickens conversing over their breakfast and the quiet hustle of the sanctuary. Enjoy your coffee in the hammock under the bridge or with your chair set-up stream-side.
In addition to meeting the animal residents at Fluffy Butt Rescue you can enjoy local shops and restaurants at the nearby river towns within a half an hour from your campsite. Volunteering opportunities are available - just contact your host!
****PLEASE NOTE****
-The parking area and porta potty are a short, but steep uphill walk from the camp site.
-The bell tent is located across a stream. A footbridge is used to access the bell tent. The footbridge is long and narrow and does not have railings, therefore we do not suggest this site for young kids.
-Make your stay meat-free! We are a vegan sanctuary, meaning all humans and rescue animals eat vegan/plant-based. We appreciate out guests doing the same.
-While there is no running water in or near the bell tent, we can provide a spouted pitcher of fresh potable water upon request.
-The bell tent is equipped with a full size bed, floor table and cushions for dining and playing games, and dinnerware (plates, bowls, cups and utensils).
-Firewood and kindling are not included, but can be added on for an additional fee.
-Fluffy Butt Rescue is committed to an inclusion! We welcome people of all backgrounds. We are LGBTQQIAP+ friendly!

Absolutely beautiful experience. The children loved catching little frogs by the creek, the animals were so adorable and amazing to see doing their thing in their large home that Rae and her family created for them, and at night the fire flies put on the most beautiful show- make sure you peak out the tent at night to see it. Oh and you won’t get a better nights sleep then listening to the water flowing over the rocks. Truly a beautiful experience for all of us.

Fantastic family weekend away!! Animals were so much fun to watch, the stream is cool and relaxing and the surroundings are beautiful. Will definitely go back, the kids are already asking.

My daughter and I had an awesome time at Fluffy Butt Rescue! Everything was as expected and the alpacas were super fluffy and entertaining. Rae was very friendly and extremely helpful... I'll definitely be recommending it to friends (as well as to anyone reading this review)!
Rae’s rescue farm was an absolute gem in a pastoral setting. We were greeted immediately by two alpacas and also enjoyed meeting all of the other animals. The tent was on the other side of the stream so felt fairly private - and we were charmed with the decor and little touches inside the tent - dishes, lights, recycling and compost, rugs, etc. Rae was very responsive in texts and very accommodating while we were there.
Our family LOVED our get away to Fluffy Butt Reacue. Rea is an amazing host and extremely kind and accommodating. She was so sweet with our kids explaining the history of where all of her animals came from and letting us feed and pet them. The tent is top notch and we loved all the extras, solar lighting, dishes, and extra blankets. Firewood was there, the grate to cook over was just what we needed to cook our dinner and breakfast. We loved the hammock under the dock that we we chatted and laughed in with our kids. The port a potty was extremely clean. The steam was fun to wade in and skip rocks. Our kids were sad to go and so were we. We will definitely book another trip here. Rea was awesome!!!
I was camping solo for the first time and decided to treat myself to a campsite that I didn’t have to set up :). Also, one that would have animals! The view of the stream and the farm was beautiful. Rae (and her lovely family) were very welcoming and introduced me to all of the animals. I star gazed, sat in front of a campfire with company from one of the kitties, made myself some campfire nachos on the grate provided on site, slept snuggled in on an actual mattress with plenty of blankets in 50 degree weather and just in general had a delightful stay. I would definitely come again and 100% recommend it!
We had the best time staying here! Rae was so sweet, and the property was gorgeous. This was all around the perfect experience. We will 100% recommend to anyone and will definitely be back again 😊
