The Woods @ Murray Grove

I was escaping the coronavirus pandemic in NYC and I found Murray Grove because it was close and I could continue to work on their WiFi. They were simultaneously welcoming and mindful of maintaining a safe distance. They kept the bathroom in stock and had someone available at almost any hour. I was the only one in the campsites, but even if there were other campers there was enough space for isolation/safety. There was a Walmart and other stores nearby and a grill + table for food prep. There are plenty of parks, trails, and beaches in the area with few people, which is a perfect way to stay sane, although I would be more weary of the beaches in the summer. Murray Grove welcomed me during these uncertain times and I was very happy with my decision to stay there. I will definitely be coming back, global pandemic or not.

Evelyn is great host, we get to know communal camping due to late decision, since all was booked-up and they were nearby. We were 2 couples that enjoy the place fully, since we were the only ones first 2 nigths, and even other campers join us, they did not ude any of the shares areas, so we were by ourselves practically. The place is clean and spacious! Close to a lot stores, the noise from the rote can be heard a little, there is only one campfire (pit) for the 8 sites, since is communal meaning that you share picnic tables and kitchen area (gas grill&serving table). Showers are the best beside you pay a fee p/person (towels and basic amenities are given). There a hammock around and few nice tables w/sits. 100% recommend!

Wonderful, hitch-free camping experience! Spacious camping area for two, kind and extremely responsive hosting by Evelyn, and exceedingly nice, clean and attractive bathroom and shower accommodations. Our campsite had trash and recycling, a grill, picnic tables, and a hammock, I wish we'd taken advantage of more! We spent the days at the beach in Atlantic City, a straight-shot 45-minute drive away. If you are looking for something a bit deeper in the woods "away from everything," you may prefer something different, but for a beginning camper like me, I couldn't have asked for a more!

Delightful and consistent with the ethos of the UU org. Excellent pool.

Camping at Murray Grove was amazing -- we shared the grounds with only one other pair of people and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Beautifully kept campground with sunny lawns out front and shady, woodsy campsites in back. The night was the best part -- the air was rife with the sounds of crickets and distant frogs. It's the furthest we've felt from civilization in a long while, and it's right off the main drag.

I would recommend it to anyone looking to get away for the weekend without the fuss and hassle of truly GETTING AWAY.

This camp site was BEAUTIFUL!!!! There was a main fireplace for all the campsites. There was a grill and a table provided. This saved on a lot of the packing, and firewood prep. They had a very clean bathroom with running water! Beautiful and peaceful place!!

Great spot to camp. The grounds are perfectly taken care of and our host Evelyn was wonderful. Perfect location with plenty of thing to do close by. Highly recommend a kayak or canoeing trip. We will be back for sure.

I loved staying here and plan to go back with my kids. I was the only one there during my stay so didnt get to enjoy the commune aspects of the facility but the cooking area and fire pit have great potential for meeting new people. The bathroom was great, plenty of firewood and lots to do in the area. My only suggestion would with all the buildings and electrical outlets a place to charge phones would be a great addition.

We stayed here for two nights. The facility is nice, the grounds are beautiful, and staff are friendly The campsite is close to each other, but when we were there, there were only 2 other groups and we were spaced apart, so it felt private. The site has its own trail and close to several state parks and beaches. 100% recommend and would come back!
