Nestled right across the Appalachian trail and the Kittatinny Mountain Ridge, Camp David sports three luxurious log cabins (The main cabin is made from hand hewed logs) equipped with full bathrooms, updated kitchens, wood stoves, including an additional wood stove in the master suite of main cabin with overlooking walkout porch on the second floor. All cabins are climate controlled with their own heating/cooling units and hot water heaters. Tent Camping ($75) is also available and includes use of a bathhouse, with hot water and showers.
Camp David was originally a German hunting camp at the turn of the 20th century. It was later donated to the Boy Scouts in the 1940’s. By the 2000’s, it was left abandoned at which time I purchased it and began to restore it back to its true form while maintaining the cabin life integrity. I am a contractor and arborist by trade and the last ten years I have worked hard to bring the site back to life.
Sitting on 13 acres surrounded on one side by state park land (giving you access to 100’s of acres of undeveloped state land), there are two ponds stocked with fish and cascading waterfalls, multiple fire rings with seating, furnished gazebo with wood stove, picnic tables and multiple park benches located around the property.
Easily accessible from Rt. 80 and just miles away from:

A writers retreat, or an ideal location for an outdoor wedding? Where to begin? Camp David exceeds all expectations. David, his wife, and crew were all very friendly and welcoming. With very little notice, I arrived a half hour early to find David mowing the lawn, his wife tending to the bed linens and Manuel cleaning the main cabin top to bottom! Red carpet treatment all the way, w every amenity. Full kitchens, bathrooms etc. I stayed 3 nights in the main cabin but had access to all three cabins and the entire property to myself! To much to list honest, from the pool table, to the giant fire pit, to several ponds on the property, and the outdoor living room w firepit overlooking a pond, to the deer grazing in the front yard to- you get the picture. My biggest fear is that it will become so popular, I’ll never be able to book it again!
