Beautiful farm setting ideally located if you are looking for a relaxed get away but also only 30 minutes from Philadelphia. We found nice hiking trails in the area but also enjoyed some time walking the fields amongst the horses. The main Hipcamp site on the property sits near the edge of one of their fields and includes a picnic table and fire ring and plenty of privacy. When we booked that site was taken but Bren, the host made room for us elsewhere. Bren couldn’t have been nicer. Really interesting guy and his dog Sage ended up being a great playmate for Bruno.
We definitely enjoyed our time there and would go back if we are in the area!
Our stay at Horse Farm Camping was great. Camp site #1 felt very private. The bathroom was clean and easy to get to. The horses were also a nice sight. There wasn’t a strong smell of horses either.
Lots of horses to welcome you!
The HipCamp site was great! Bren welcomed us when we arrived and showed us to our site, our site was flat and a good size, and there were horses that came up to say hi to us. Would stay here again!
Great farm, awesome hosts!
The horse farm is very cool and the hosts are fantastic! The camping site we stayed at was in a secluded spot on the farm with a fire pit. If you're going to be setting up a tent and want to keep the bottom clean, I recommend bringing a tarp to put under it as the camp site is a flat clay area. We stayed in the middle of summer during a heat wave and the hosts very kindly ran an extension cord all the way out to us so we could run our fan to stay cool. They were extremely accommodating!
Beautiful location and lots to do.
We enjoyed this location for a last minute quick get away. The setting was pretty. Bren was a quick communicator and friendly. The location was close to activities that we enjoyed - Historic Smithville Park for history and beautiful natural areas to explore, kayaking in south branch of Rancocas (put in at Hainesport boat ramp) , Columbus Market. We noticed a pick your own farm close by too. Only thing that I would change if it were possible is the sound of the vehicles on the NJ turnpike close by and the distance to the portapotty (I’ve been spoiled by camp toilets at the campsite on prior camping trips). I didn’t know what to expect regarding the actual campsite because there were no photos but it was wonderful- back corner of property, no one around, surrounded by trees and farmland and horses. Had a picnic table and fire ring. (Site #1) we really enjoyed ourselves at this cozy spot and our time in the area.
Great location, beautiful place.
Our family was looking for a place close enough to stay the night and leave our camper as we headed into NYC for a day. BRen's Horse farm fit the bill. Very conveniently located near the NJ Turnpike. Acres of pastures and grazing horses. Because of recent rain, the usual RV sote he had planned for us was a bit wet so we parked nexf to the horse barn, offering a view of the horses and a sunset. They even allowed our kids to play in the indoor horse arena during the rain.
Enjoyed our stay!!!!!
We were out most of the time, but whenever we were there or needed anything Bren was super helpful! The horses were a real treat and the smell of fresh grass and hay was sweet in the morning! The property is a beautiful horse farm with lots going on. I am sure you will enjoy your stay as much as we did.
