Great camping experience!
We really enjoyed our camping experience! There was plenty of space to set up our tent as well as park our car, and it was very quiet/peaceful all night. The location was extremely convenient as well, and we were able to quickly grab breakfast downtown before continuing on with our trip!
Could not have had a better experience. This is what Hipcamp is all about, bringing people like John (and his family who we did not get a chance to meet on this short wintry visit!) together with people like my partner and I who for a variety of reasons wish to land ourselves in the heart of nature for a few nights watching the stars (in this case miraculously less than a few miles from gorgeous downtown Concord , I mean seriously, does it get better?)
Gracious and accommodating of our need for a very last minute reservation on a cold and icy winter night due to a 2 night weather delay while travelling , we were most grateful and ended up falling in love with both Concord and John's 'Oasis' and we intend to make it a destination many times over now that we were 'lucky' enough to have had our other travel plans disrupted!!
And BTW, If the land looks this beautiful in these weather conditions, we can only imagine it the rest of the year.....
Wonderfully friendly and helpful.
John was incredibly helpful to me when my van got stuck in some ice. Without hesitating, he got another vehicle and helped pull it out. In addition, he was one of the nicest people I’ve met on the road. I highly recommend staying at their place.
Always a pleasure to stay on John and Linda’s land. They are both down to earth people willing to help if you need it at the camp site. It’s like being in the woods while in the city limits!
