Camp with your group of up to 6 people at our private Farm/Recreation/Ski area. Established in 2004, we are a 75 Acre ATFS certified Tree Farm located in the Blue Hills Range in the Foothills to NH’s white mountains. Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of maintained multi-use recreational trails, four scenic lookouts on and around the mountain’s summit, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a eight acre spring-fed private pond with a dock and floating swimming platform.

(Site 3 The Ridge) is located just below the summit of Hussey Mountain at approximately 1,100’ above sea level on a series of ledge outcroppings covered in low-bush blueberry and juniper bushes. A forest consisting of mostly oak trees (short and stunted by elevational mountain weather) lines either side of the ridge and provides some shelter for campers. Because of its exposed nature and high elevation, the site it provides beautiful mountain views across NH into ME and of sunrise/sunset.

*The site is equipped with…

Hammock

Granite Firepit/Grill

Oak cordwood for the fire and water to put it out

*Services applicable to the site include...

Gear/food transport via ATV and trash removal (If selected in extras);

Berry picking in season is free for camping guests and includes blackberries, raspberries, low/highbush blueberries.

*At the base of the mountain (Site1 Basecamp) power, water, an outdoor shower, and a portable toilet are available to camping guests when the site isn’t booked or booked in conjunction with (Site 3 The Ridge)

*Things to do at the farm include...

SPRING-FALL... Hiking/mountain biking on several miles of maintained trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Relaxing/taking in the scenery from four separate lookouts located on and around the mountain’s summit; combined they provide a 360-degree view spanning from the NH/ME Seacoast to the White Mountains of NH, to the Green Mountains of VT.  Fishing, paddling, swimming, relaxing on our dock or floating swimming platform at our private 8-acre spring-fed pond. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping; this is a place you can easily spend a few days and keep busy!

WINTER... We offer the only private ski area in New England accessed by either uphill travel or snowmobile lift service. With snow, our unique network of forestry trails and glades are transformed into downhill ski/snowboard runs, snowshoe routes, and fatbike trails.

That said, if you’re looking to venture off-mountain and explore we’re in a great area to do that. We’re located only 7 minutes off Exit 14, NH Route 16 N.

*Places to visit nearby include...

Baxter lake (public access) 5 minutes south. Portsmouth 25 minutes south. Lake Winnipesaukee 20 minutes north. Gunstock mountain resort 30 minutes north. NH’s White Mountains 40 minutes north. Conway 1 hour north.

We almost don’t want to tell you how great this place is so we can keep it all to ourselves! We were looking for a quick getaway not too far from Boston and this exceeded all our expectations. You won’t find more beautiful views, or a more inspirational setting - there are so many hidden trails and touches to explore on the property. Everything about this stay was easy, clean, and most importantly - fun! The host, Eben, was so warm and welcoming, and responsive to any need you might have. We’re so grateful he has opened up his land and so thoughtfully created magical spots for guests to enjoy! Eben is an artist with a beautiful vision. We can’t wait to come back - in every season!

My husband, son, and our dog stayed at The Ridge site for three nights and it was everything we hoped for. The sunrises were amazing and the endless views of the White Mountains were just incredible to wake up to. We hiked all the trails, picked the last of the sweet blueberries, explored, relaxed in our camping hammocks, fished at the pond, and sat by the fire appreciating the views. Our host Eben was so accomodating, friendly, and helpful. He met us upon arrival with a map with hand written notes covering all of the details we would need for the trip. Which answered any questions we maybe would have had. It is evident he cares greatly about providing his guests a fun and special experience. And he was very knowledgeable about the history of his land. We would highly recommend this location to anyone desiring to camp privately on a mountain ridge with endless incredible views! We had such a wonderful time and were able to provide wonderful memories for our son. It was the perfect place for him to just run around and practice his survival skills. We are grateful for locations like this to escape to. And we are thankful for people like Eben who open up their beautiful land for others to enjoy! Excellent host and amazing experience!

Our stay at Eben's couldn't have been better! Eben was hospitable and even sent us some nearby mountain biking trails near by to check out. The campsite itself was beautiful and well maintained, and you can tell Eben takes pride in his land and puts loads of work into maintaining and improving the campground. Will 100% be back again soon!

My partner and I initially booked a stay here a few weeks prior, however that stay had to be rescheduled due to a tropical storm. The host Eben was super accessible and accommodating as we worked together day to day to make the decision on the potential change of date. The host is easy to contact, quick to respond and absolutely charming.

We were both a bit bummed to postpone but the wait was absolutely worthwhile. The site is hands down the most picturesque spot we’ve stayed at so far through hipcamp. It is on a ridge with a views including the white, Berkshire, and green mountains. The spot is spacious, private, well maintained. The pond is cool and deep with great access to boats and a floating dock. There are charming mini hikes as well as available yoga sessions with a sunset view.

What makes this listing truly a gem is the environmental beliefs and practices of the host. They have strong values of ethical tree farming (ie plant as they harvest and allowing the trees to thrive and grow). There is clear emphasis on having a positive footprint and self sustainable living. There is a farm on premise run by a family member which is built with an immersive, pesticide free, accessibility driven belief. The entire experience is clearly built with the goals in mind to help visitors build or strengthen love for the earth and protection of nature. Without a doubt we will return.

We had a great time at Hussey on The Ridge! The view from the campsite is breathtaking. Although the hike to the ridge was a bit steep. Also Eben was really friendly and a great communicator. He gave us a map of the property and explained everything in detail when we arrived. The pond and boats are super convenient and nice for swimming. I would highly recommend it.
