2nd visit as good as the 1st
My 10 yr old son and I came back for our 2nd visit to Hussey Mountain. He loves the Ledgewood site so we booked it again this time around. Ebon, the host, added some excellent hammocks to the site, the sturdiest picnic table I’ve ever sat on and a cool dartboard. Yep, outdoor darts.
He also added some new hikes to the experience which made for some fun exploring and it is always worth renting the boat. Time on the pond really adds to the stay. Scenic, calming and a great fishing spot as well.
When your stay is over, go to Farmer’s Kitchen for breakfast. It’s 5mins or so from Hussey Mountain. Great food. Friendly service and a meal Dad didn’t need to cook over a campfire.
Give Hussey Mountain a try. It’s in an unexpected spot that has hidden a perfect camping experience. The host knows how to get the most out of your stay and his campsites are equipped with water, kitchen supplies, axes, camping chairs, and fun touches that make for good memories.
Book it and enjoy.
Hussey Mountain and Ledgewood are an amazing camping experience. For those who want the comforts of car camping with the feel of back country hike in - this is the place. Eben has created an amazing camping experience with well outfitted camp sites on his private mountain. He will meet you with his quad and move all your gear up the mountain for you. Hike up to the campsite and enjoy. Amazing views and great sites. Clean, renewable and awesome.
Hands down one of the best Hipcamps we have been to. When we arrived, Ebon was there to greet us. He had a complete welcome package for us with a printout of everything we could need to know about our site and a map of the property and all the trails. He told us about the property's history and what they do currently to harvest trees sustainably without damaging the forest. In the parking area is a private solar shower that has terrific water pressure.
The hike up to the Ledgewood campsite is strenuous at parts, but it wasn't anything we couldn't do (we're not in the best shape). The hike is definitely worth it, though. The views from the site are amazing. The site has everything you could. There was cooking equipment, water, hammocks, and a bunch of other stuff. Ebon can run all your gear up the site for you on an ATV. Overall we had a fantastic time, and if you are thinking about a trip to this area, 100% book this site.
This was our best HipCamp experience to date. Eben has set up an awesome mountainside oasis. It feels like super private, back woods camping, but with convenient camp site amenities.
We really appreciated that the site has everything you need for a super fun and relaxing weekend in the woods. This site comes with camp chairs, cooking equipment, fresh water, and hammocks. Just bring your own food and sleeping gear and you’re ready to go!
The views were magical, and it was fun to explore the whole mountain. We had originally planned to go on a day hike away from the camp, but Eben shared some “locals only” intel about trails that we could access from the campsite and we spent the whole day exploring. We also checked out the farm next door and got some delicious fresh produce.
Our dogs had an awesome time, and we really appreciated how welcoming Eben was to humans and dogs. He made it an awesome experience, and we can’t wait to come back!
Great spot for camping. Glad I found it and decided to try this place out. Even was awesome. Very accommodating. It is a bit of a rugged hike to the site at first, but well worth it and only about a 5 minute hike. 10/10 would recommend. 👌🏼🤙🏼
Spectacular trip as always! Eben is a wonderful host and the mountain is absolutely stunning. We loved the site (getting better every year too), views from the summit, and paddling and playing by the water. Also loved visiting with Abe and Morgan for the farm dinner. Great place, lovely company, and delicious veggies!!
Would love to stay again!
Eben is an amazing host! The campsite was set up so anyone from a novice camper to a total pro would be perfectly comfortable. We had an amazing time, despite the bad weather. Our dog had a great time too! She did not want to leave, and neither did we!
Had a fantastic weekend camping with friends on Hussey Mtn. The site is well equipped, spacious with a beautiful view and a substantial fire pit. Eben is a great guy and an incredible host who made sure everyone and their gear made it to camp. Thanks Eben! We’ll be back!
