I had an amazing time staying here with my friends. Everyone was absolutely raving about how great a spot it was. It's really a beautiful area and the views were gorgeous.
Dave, our host, was awesome and the spot was amazing. He was really nice, gave us a great tour, and let us know some awesome tips for the local area!
All in all A+ would recommend and hope to come back again! The only thing I regret is not having more time to stay up there!

Staying at Barn Door was a great decision! We felt very welcome the entire weekend and the atmosphere and location were perfect. Although there was no running water (I heard its getting implemented soon), it was no hassle to pack in our own water. The owner Dave was wonderfully accommodating and helpful our entire stay!

Jaeman, what a trip. SO glad you enjoyed your stay and came to check us out. Hope to see you again real soon
Very low stress stay - affordable and rapid access to many different hiking, climbing, and swimming spots. Staff is great as well.

Aaron, so glad you could kick back and relax while out enjoying the White Mtns. Hope to see you again this coming season
Exactly as advertised. Very clean, very beautiful. Cool communal vibe if you want it but also plenty of space to go off and be by yourself. Helpful and very nice volunteer was there to show us around when we arrived, which was great because we forgot to message Dave to tell him when we would arrive. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!

Shane thanks so much for your review! Come back soon
I would absolutely recommend this site to anyone who is interested in a quieter experience than a state park or (saints preserve us) a private corporate campground. The outhouse was rustic but well maintained, and I enjoyed the woods/river on property. David was a fantastic host -- friendly, funny, and quick to respond to even our most unusual questions. This was our first experience with Hipcamp and we were apprehensive, but the site and the location delivered. Thanks David! We would definitely come back again.

Thanks so much for the kind words. Hope we can see you again soon! I think I owe you a smore!
David was a lovely host. The stream was lovely to dip our feet in and the campsite was well-maintained with lovely views of the mountains. Even for the one night we were there, we felt comfortable and at ease!

Jen!! Thank you so much. We loved hosting you. See you soon
We had a great experience at David's place !
David just released a shower, much appreciated :)

The shower! Thank you so much for your patience with this experiment. Hope you come back this season
We booked a last minute trip to New Hampshire to hike Mount Washington. The camp site was 1h30 minutes away, but the road between Rumney and Mount Washington was beautiful. Booking in Rumney gave us the opportunity to visit Franconia and Sculpture Rock.
Barn Door hostel camp site was just perfect and as described. David was a great host! We met other campers and everyone was very friendly.
We would love to visit Rumney and White Mountain area during winter and try David’s hostel.

thank you for the review Jazz. We had a great time hosting you
Such a beautiful location!! We loved everything about this campsite, the private compost toilets, the amazing views and the feeling of being secluded while also being a minutes drive to cute restaurant's. Loved this place and would highly reccomend!

Kelly WE recommend YOU! Thanks so much for being an amazing guest. We hope to see you again in the near future
