Welcome to The Walsh Family Homestead located in Bass River, New Brunswick, Canada. We offer rough and raw site rentals for outdoor enthusiasts!
72 acres of raw, natural land, as well as the Bass River that borders the property for canoeing, swimming or fishing.
If you're looking for a place to enjoy nature, THIS IS IT!
If you're looking for a place to party or overindulge, this is definitely NOT for you.
We strive to provide a safe and peaceful place for our guests to Relax, Enjoy Nature, Get Back To Basics, Get Outdoors, and to Unplug and Unwind!
Here at The Walsh Family Homestead, we currently have three site rentals. We may add a couple more in the future, but our goal is to keep it small and quaint so that our guests have their space and enjoy their privacy.
VACATION RENTALS INCLUDE:
- Your own private campfire area (firewood available on site).
- FREE use of river for swimming, fishing or canoe/kayaking (BYO)
- The biggest attraction of all included in your stay … NATURE!
Cell phone service is very poor in this area, so it's a great opportunity to UNPLUG and get away from the daily hustle and bustle!
Because this is rough camping, you will need to bring a portable BBQ (and/or camp stove). You may also want to bring rubber boots or water shoes, sunscreen, and bug spray.
- Washroom Facilities consist of a shared privacy tent with hand sanitizer and toilet paper. THERE IS NO SHOWER.
Have a campfire in your designated firepit and enjoy roasting marshmallows, making s'mores, and stargazing.
Keep on the trails or go off the beaten path to explore the woods and ravines, keeping and eye out for the wildlife, including moose, bobcats and bears!

Thompson General Store is just a 5 minute walk with all you need for your camping getaway.
Wanna kick up your heels? Danny's Bar is just a 5 minute drive down the road.
Forgot those adult beverages? No worries... Harcourt has what you need just 10 minutes away.
Wanna launch your boat? Browns Yard is just down the road!
The Upriver Country Market is open every Saturday from 9am-12pm, June through to September.
