Kayakers looking for more of a challenge may choose to paddle the Salt Waters of the Passamaquoddy Bay past Midjik Bluff. Those looking for calmer and warmer waters will want to choose to go up the Magaguadavic River from the Campsite to the beautiful Saint George Basin and the Saint George Gorge, passing the Three Sisters and the newest Bald Eagles Nest at the most eastern end of the Campsite.

Pass by Silver Island arriving at the Saint George Basin. Disembark at the Basin Boat Ramp and take a short walk up Portage Street to Main Street. Enjoy an Ice Cream at Pete’s Dairy Bar. Also a short walk to the Saint George Mall, the Historic Granite Post Officer, the Saint George Dam, Fish Ladder, the Old Pulp Mill, the Country Market, and more.

The Mouth of the Magaguadavic was such an incredible place to stay while out East. Paul’s sisters, Veronica and Marilyn, were so welcoming and kind. They shared tidbits of knowledge of the area and Paul’s nephew, Harrison, even took us kayaking to town down the River. It was absolutely breathtaking. It was just my sister and I and we felt very safe and welcomed. We can’t wait to return and would absolutely recommend anyone to stay! Thank you so much Veronica, Harrison, Marilyn and Paul!!

This little gem of a spot, just outside the Bay of Fundy -- is not to be missed. Tucked away on a gorgeous, rocky peninsula with breath-taking views of the Magaguadavic's entrance into the bay -- and the coolest extreme of tides in and out you'll ever see. Paul was the most easy-going, kind and accommodating host, with tons of history info and insights to offer about the area and plenty of space and amenities to offer. Cant recommend it enough!
