It was a nice and quiet spot to camp for the night. Ground can be prickly in spots so watch for that when placing your tent.

This campsite was absolutely beautiful. We were the only people there (although there was room for more- I think 6 tent sites and 8 RV sites.) We just got lucky. :) The flush toilet, running water, and electricity in the outhouse was amazing. Outhouse was well stocked. You have to turn the water on outside before using it, which was easy to do. The views from the campsite were unlike anything I’ve seen. When it got dark, we were able to simultaneously stargaze and watch the lightning storms in the distance in almost every direction. It was magical.

Donna was very communicative leading up to our arrival. We never actually met her, but we were only there for one night. I have nothing negative to say about the experience.

A couple things to note: the terrain for tents is mowed, but it’s still rough. I’d definitely bring a tarp to lay down under the tent, if you have one. There were some large ant hills but the bugs left us alone and there was plenty of room to set up away from them. All this is expected on the Nebraska plains, though. We had a wild storm roll through as we were going to bed. I camp a lot, and that was the worst wind I’ve experienced while camping. It fortunately blew through quickly. Again: Nebraska plains! Just be sure to stake your tent down, even if the weather seems calm!

Overall, I would highly recommend, and will definitely go back next time we’re driving through.

We stayed here one night on our way to Wyoming. The campground was easy to find and we had a beautiful sunset and sunrise. There was a mowed area for tent camping, just be careful where you set up as there are small cacti and some other spiny, prickly plants. Lots of hiking available, but beware, there’s little to no shade in this part of the country. The best part: flush toilets and a sink with running water to wash up!

Nice campground in the plains of Nebraska. Water spigots and an indoor bathroom with toilet, sink, and electricity. Flat grounds that are good for tents. Good price for what you get.

The site was easy to find and not too far from the Agate monument, the restroom was in good working condition.
