Thank you for staying with us. We opened up camping because there was such a shortage in our area for campsites. We understand that the hwy is a bit close to the property. Thankfully, HWY 71 is very quiet at night however, during the day traffic does pick up. We hope that your travels have been safe and enjoyable.

The site was easy to find and had water and a picnic table. Our Host was delightful and responsive. The title is Hilltop camping but it felt like side of the highway as the spots are far enough off of the highway to be safe but we felt exposed, like everyone driving by could see us. The bathroom being only available during business hours felt like a bait and switch. I didn’t read carefully enough about that as the listing said “bathrooms available”. There should be a porta potty for tent campers when the cafe is closed. Maybe this should just be an RV spot?

Hi Heidi! Thank you for your honest review! I am sorry for the confusion about the bathroom. We are considering putting in an out house for tent campers or list only as an RV site as you have suggested. It was nice to meet you and your children. I hope the rest of your trip was great.
