We are on a pivot corner of a farm in the hills north of Interstate 80 and Highway 30. There are fields of corn/soybeans, pastures that sometimes house cattle and the Elm Creek visible from the camping location. We are near 8 miles from Sandy Channels Recreation area and about 40 miles from Rowe Sanctuary if you enjoy wildlife and bird watching. There is also a viewing tower on site, accessible by stairs, which offers a 360 degree view of natural surroundings and wildlife! The creek running south of the property is home to deer, turkeys, and other wildlife that are easily and safely viewed from the camp site and tower. The home on the property is a barn style home. The site is a mile and a half from a paved road. There is very little local traffic and the site is relatively quiet other than nearby agriculture activity during certain times of the year.
There is a big friendly farm dog on site who roams the property (A Great Pyrenees). He does bark to keep nocturnal animals such as deer and raccoons away from the property - but he loves other friendly dogs! He is neutered, so is safe for other dogs to play with unsupervised. A portable fire pit is available so you can enjoy gorgeous views of the night sky for stargazing even when it gets chilly. (Clouds permitting!) Firewood is available for an additional fee.
There is a washer and dryer that you can use on site for a small fee, detergent provided. (Must be scheduled while on site) Clothesline is able to be used free of charge, baskets and clothespins available to borrow upon request. There is also guest WiFi available for no extra charge and it is fast enough to stream video, remote work, video conference, etc.

This was the best of Nebraska, views, the night sky, summer crickets and fire flies. Cole and his wife couldn't be any kinder Hipcamp hosts and take care that your stay is comfortable and accommodated. I would love to stay here again!
Amazing camp and great hosts. Got in late at night directions were spot on. Amazing sunrise. Would stay here again.
The views are wonderful, as well as the night sky, crickets, fireflies, and Zane's watchful eye as you enjoy the best of Nebraska at this Hipcamp. Cole & Sue and some of the best hosts. Highly recommend.
This was a great and beautiful stop. Breathtaking really. Stunning views and privacy. Everything was well appointed, from the friendly dog to the look out tower and drinkable well water and electric. Everything you could possibly need in a overnight stay. Would highly recommend.

Cole was responsive and greeted us when we pulled up. Directions were clear. Views were wonderful, atop a hill, with corn fields and grazing pasture all around. It was very quiet, which we loved. Their Great Pyrenees joined us on our walks down the gravel roads.
We loved our stay at Cole's Hilltop Farm! We were met by very friendly Cole and Zane upon arriving, and our dog quickly started playing with Zane. Our dog was living his best life on this farm - exploring the corn fields, running around and finding Zane's bones, splashing in Zane's kiddie pool. The spot is gorgeous on the top of rolling hills, just a few minutes off of the freeway but away from freeway noise. Cole was wonderful to talk with - an exceptional host!

Beautiful views, friendly pup and very accommodating hosts! When we arrived, the sun was shining but a few hours later a storm was rolling through. Cole offered us space to shelter in for the evening. It wasn't the evening we planned for but it worked out alright. Highly recommend staying here.... we'll be back!

Great views, easy access via second driveway, very quiet
And a super friendly dog who escorted us on a walk!
We really enjoyed camping here! Highly recommend! We stayed for 2 nights during our cross country trip. It was close enough to the interstate to be convenient, but also very peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. The site is surrounded by beautiful farmland, and the kids loved hanging out in the observation tower! Our camper had plenty of room to get into and out of the space. Our electric and water hookups worked well, and although we did not use the septic dump area, it was readily accessible. Cole and his family were great hosts and had suggestions for activities in the area. (We did a day trip to the Sandhills, which was totally worth the drive.) However, the highlight of our stay was hanging out with Zane the dog! He was so sweet to our kids and dog and even accompanied us on our long walks. We will definitely stay here again!
