We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.  In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family. We’re always a text away! You’ll see us out and about on our golf carts. If you ever need anything just holler (: Check-in time is at 3 pm. My family and I had a great time! Rick was a perfect host. We mentioned wanting to do some fishing, so he put us near the pond. We were able to catch some decent-sized largemouth bass and bluegill. At our camp, we were visited by many of the animals roaming around. Willie and Doc really enjoyed hanging around our camp.

Drive an hour north of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to vast grasslands. These areas offer a variety of recreation, including hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, horseback, riding, and mountain biking. It's easy to imagine thousands of cattle grazing here along these sweeping plains.

Head to Black Creek Lake northwest of Decatur for some great fishing. At 35 acres, this is the largest lake in the grasslands. Cast your line from a boat or the shoreline. Hook some channel cats for a tasty dinner back at your campsite next to the lake.

Plenty of small lakes dot the landscape through these rolling hills. The smallest is one-fourth of an acre. Discover Rhodes Lake and Clear Lake for more fishing opportunities.
