Relaxing stay after a long drive from Seattle. Even though it was off season facilities were running on point. Steven made sure that water pressure was solid in the bathrooms (impressive since this whole place is off-grid). Good views from camp sites. I recommend walking up the road and checking out all the eagles hanging out.

Seven’s lot is perfect! It was our first time using Hipcamp and Steve made the experience great - he was probably the nicest guy we met on our road trip across the states. His doggo is super friendly too! Get the fresh eggs he gets from his chickens - they’re delicious!

Steven was a very attentive host. I enjoyed our view from our site. We declined his offer for firewood , it didn’t seem prudent with all the dry duff on the property .

My dog and I had a great time camping on Steven’s property! He was very prompt with communications and made sure we had everything we needed. Hiking in the morning on his land was just beautiful as well!

I stayed at The Sanctuary on a night where it off and on hailed/rained/snowed (when it was supposed to be ~70 degrees) and Steven graciously moved me from my campsite into a cabin and built me a fire in the wood burning stove. He did not charge me for the change or the wood - he just wanted me to be comfortable and warm. The cabin was not necessarily ready for someone to stay in it but I’ll take warmth over cleanliness any day under those circumstances. The other small cabins on the property are so cute and well organized, and on a warmer day I would have loved to stay in one.

Steven is a friendly conversationalist and I enjoyed getting to know him while I stayed on his property. He shared carnitas tacos with me at dinner time (that he made) which were great, and it was really generous of him.

I would stay here again and I appreciated the safe and comfortable overnight on the first day of my cross-country trip.

Thank you Brianna for such a gracious review! I am so happy you and "Fritz", a super cool 😎 dog, enjoyed your stay. I have young adult children too and I wood hope that when my daughter is out traveling that there is another retired Army Col protecting my beautiful daughter from the elements and providing a safe loving atomosphere for her. I don't do this campground for the money, I do it so that everyone can have safe harbor! Good luck on your new adventure in DC, and may God protect you! And if you are ever out this way again, make sure you & Fritz stop by! Your friend, Steven.
