Beautiful yurt and wonderful hosts
We stayed here for 6 days and it was wonderful.
The morning breakfasts we’re delivered to the yurt on our schedule and they were delicious.
There is plenty of hiking! Just walk out the door and hit the fire trail or walk a little over a mile down the road and hike as long as you like. Our longest hike was 8 miles but you could go much farther.
This is conveniently located too. It’s a little over 40 minutes to Missoula and the Idaho border is about 70 miles away.
We’ll probably go back!
We loved our stay in Cedar Hollow. The yurt is beautifully decorated with like-home feel. Hosts are very welcoming and the breakfast is delicious.
We highly recommend this place.
A lovely sanctuary in the forest.
Peaceful. Quiet. A Wonderful Sanctuary for a difficult time.
This yurt was tastefully built and decorated. A wood burning stove kept the entire yurt warm and cozy on a chilly night. Breakfast was quite lovely with a nice brew of French press coffee. We selected a waffle/egg sandwich and it was delightful. The host family was courteous and made us feel welcome from the first moment. It was a delightful stay and my only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer. I highly recommend this as it was not just a place to stay, it was a wonderful experience.
Off the beaten path
This place was off the beaten path - but that is what made it a great stay. The yurt was furnished nicely and once I got a fire going it was very cozy. If you like seeing wildlife, the drive from the highway to their farm will delight. I saw bighorn sheep 3 out of 4 trips on that road, not to mention wild turkeys and many mule deer as well. The only thing that confused me was what to do when I got there. There was no one outside and I was not sure what building was theirs, so I just went to the yurt. Soon the owner came out and greeted me - to him it was no big deal that I had just made myself at home. Highly recommend, especially if you want to "get away".
