Pack it in, pack it out, this includes all refuse. This is an ideal place mid way btwn Missoula and Glacier National Park. From the west coast it's a nice camp en route to Yellowstone National Park. My land is prairie with spectacular views Mission Mountains east and National Bison Range west. Currently I have only one site available which includes afternoon shade from the barn. It is far too hot and dry in Montana this summer to have you camp in any other spot here. There are still spectacular views of the Mission mountains at this private campsite. Quiet time is after 10pm in respect to the land owner, neighbors, and wildlife.

Our stay at Rosalie Ranch was our first Hipcamp stay ever - and the experience couldn't have been better! (My two boys listed the stay as the best during our 10-day trip.) Lori is a fantastic host. She was very communicative from the booking on and gave great directions, and it was nice to be welcomed in such a friendly way after a long day of driving! (Side note: Don't forget to check out Lori's lavender products!) The property is peaceful, with stunning mountain views.

Thank you Soren and family! How lovely it was to have you here. Thank you for choosing my Rosalie Ranch for your inaugural Hipcamp adventure. I'm glad it met and exceeded your expectations! You were my first Eurovan! Thanks again for your kind review, for understanding the value of quietude, fresh clean mountain fed well-water, the natural beauty, and for supporting Montana's agri-tourism by way of purchasing product from small lavender business!

Look. I can't really stress this enough. You WANT to stay here. Period.
On our incredibly long, cross country road trip, we were looking at all sorts of places and we chose Rosalie Ranch based off of the great reviews yes, but ALSO, because we saw that Lori responded personally to each one. And we thought.... this place looks great, this woman sounds lovely, and hey, we can even get some fresh lavender products in the process.
And boy oh boy, were we blown away by Lori's gorgeous grounds, bright spirit, and warm hospitality. She walked up from her home, with her sunhat dawned on her head and showed us to our campsite upon arrival. As we were exploring the rolling hills of her property, Lori found us and showed us the other aspects of her land - the solar powered water pump, the well, the compostable toilets and spiral shower, the tiny houses, the lavender field, the barn/lavender boutique - and then we stood for about an hour talking and laughing as the sun set! It was truly magical. We had NO idea that this would be the place it was - maybe somewhere in our heart of hearts we knew it would be special - but to be there in person was just BEYOND.
Definitely book more than one night as you are passing through. The night sky is unreal. The surrounding mountains are majestic. And you'll find deer and birds frolicking through the wildflowers and foliage on her property. You are encircled by so much beauty. And Lori is a treasure of a human with which to commune. She knows her own land and those that surround it, and will be more than willing to point you in the right direction for exploration. We will most definitely be returning at some point and only wish we could have stayed longer this time around.
This is seriously the best Hipcamp experience we have had thus far, and left loaded with lavender delights for ourselves, our friends and family.

View from our campsite. Her lavender field right at the beginning of Harvesting time. A bit of the night sky. Once it got dark and clouds cleared the stars were in FULL FORCE!More rolling hills of beauty.

Aw Eleni and Nick, these are really weird times we are living in and I tend to keep to myself here. The two of you and the kinship we shared rekindled my faith in humanity. Who'da thunk a beautiful young couple all the way from a great big metropolis could do that for little ol' me here in the big wide open lonesome Montana landscape. I am ever and anon grateful that our paths crossed due to your serendipitous choice to make my Rosalie Ranch one of your camp spots as you made your way across the country. I am sincerely grateful and so glad we met. I too, wish you could've stayed on. Maybe we shall meet again some day! Until then, my best to you!

Off grid peace and quiet

Highly recommended! Lori is an excellent Hipcamp host and her lavender farm is the perfect place to spend a few nights off grid. Lori welcomed me on arrival and showed me to my campsite and around her property, she also gave me recommendations of a few hikes and activities nearby to visit during my stay. She has a few different camp sites you can use, depending on your camping set up. The sites are well spread out so there’s plenty of peace and quiet and privacy and as a woman road-tripping on my own, I felt very safe my entire stay. You’d never find this place on your own, but it’s actually really conveniently located just a few miles from the main road about equidistant between Kalispell and Missoula and Lori provides detailed but easy to follow directions. Lori’s lavender farm is a great place to relax and enjoy nature, expect to see lots of wildlife - birds, bees, butterflies, deer and more. Oh yea and the Mountain views aren’t too shabby either!

Hey Cara! Thank you so much for choosing to stay here at Rosalie Ranch. I appreciated you swapping stories with me and your quiet peaceful demeanor. I wish you the best and thank you kindly for this review. I want to encourage more solo women campers and those who may be new to camping, and you've helped me do that. Thanks again!

Staying on Lori's property was a really great experience! You get the true Montana experience here - and make sure you check out some of Lori's great Lavender products while you're there. I purchased a sleeping mask full of lavender and it had me sleeping very soundly during the following week camping in various places. Great host, great place - highly recommend to anyone passing through the area for a private, tranquil, and beautiful experience. Thanks Lori!

Staying at Lori's farm was hands down my favorite experience of visiting Montana for the first time. Her farm was breathtakingly beautiful, private, and full of wonderful views, natural fragrances and wildlife. The view of the mountains in the area are spectacular and the sunset was one to remember!

Lori was also the perfect host, providing us with enough firewood and kindle (that even included lavender and sage from her farm), local tips & information along with so much charm and warmth to make us feel super welcome. Lori was an absolute joy to speak with and we ended up buying a bunch of products from her farm, all of which were of the utmost quality. It's obvious that Lori cares about her farm and her guests and staying here was a trip that we will not soon forget! Easily the best Hipcamp experience I've had to date.

Aw Bob! Thank you for this beautiful review! You and Matt were such a blast to talk with! I could've talked about old rock n rollers all night with you guys. I appreciate your own charm, your politeness, and that you chose my Rosalie Ranch for a stay. Thanks also for supporting the efforts/produce from my small farm. I was impressed you kayak'd over to Wild Horse Island-I think a lot of Montanans would be impressed by this! It was real fun to send something to yer ma! You guys come on back some day!

Stop looking. Book this spot. Lori is a wonderfully generous, smart and funny gal! Traveling as a solo female, I immediately felt SAFE and at home here, which is a BIG PLUS. It stormed the night I stayed but this sweetheart came and drove her truck up to my tent spot so I could have the option to sleep in the covered bed of the truck if I wanted. I would a million times stay here again. If youre going round Missoula area or up to GNP, or anywhere in MT really, STAY HERE!! Plus she has a lavendar shop which has the best stuff! Lavender is proven to be a stress/anxiety relief so stop worrying and book here!!

Thank you Abby! I sincerely appreciate your choosing to stay here at the Rosalie Ranch. And your review is THE sweetest! I'm glad you felt safe and glad I brought the truck up! I once met friends of mine who flew in to Great Falls from Denmark. They brought dinner, met me at Bean Lk. on the Rocky Mountain Front and I brought all the sleeping hear and coffee making stuff for morning. It was so windy that all 3 of us slept in the back of that same truck! Ha! My mobile Hipcamp/Air BnB unit! Thanks again. And you're always welcome here.

A little slice of heaven

I stumbled into Hipcamp and can't believe our good fortune in finding Lori Parr and her little slice of heaven on a cross-country road trip with my sister. We traveled with a tear drop camper and Host Lori couldn't have been more welcoming and kind. The views of the Glacier Mountain range from her property are heart-stoppingly beautiful. Lori is a lavender grower w/a fabulous specialty shop on site filled w/natural and homeopathic items for purchase. She also offers an outdoor fire-heated "Bath Experience" that is out-of-this world and a luxurious treat after a long day on the road. This is an ideal place for folks looking for peace and quiet - party people should stay elsewhere.

Aww! Deb and Tracy! Thank you for this generous and kind review! It was so fun to have you here. I genuinely had fun setting up your bath and little candlelit (x3!) walkway to guide you to it. I've talked so much about your beautiful tear drop trailer! And was secretly hoping you'd mention your toilet experience ;-). Thanks so much for choosing Rosalie Ranch in the Mission valley!
