...or in the adjoining field anyway! We are 20 miles east of Missoula, MT near the Kettlehouse Ampitheater in Bonner. Our location is halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. There are mountain bike paths, river access points for paddling, rafting or fishing within minutes of our land. We can even help you know where to go. Our land is surrounded by Nature Conservancy land with a public recreation easement, so you can hike and take your horse for a ride very easily.
In a vehicle, you can pull into one of our pastures for your stay. Where you are depends on which field the sheep are eating! Tents also work in the field. We do not have any hookups. The fields are that - pasture fields. There are quiet neighbors across the fence. We are happy to offer advice about local attractions via messaging due to covid (rather than in person).

Convenient and restful.
The animals are very friendly and plentiful. Turkeys greeted us, chickens flocked and geese gandered.
We slept well - I only heard the train twice; once as I was falling asleep and once during an early morning bathroom trip.
This location is very handy to I-90.
We had a great time at Sleep with the Sheep! The campsite is close to Missoula and has a lot of fun animals. We woke up and hangout with the turkeys which followed us around. You can hear the main freeway from the spot but it isn't too loud. I would recommend this place :)
Great, hassle free and easy to find
My stay at Lisa's place near Clinton, MT was great! I didn't have to check in with anyone, the directions given were perfect and I had a whole, green field to myself. This site is fairly close to the freeway, but that is why it is convenient for travelers, too, only a couple minutes from the freeway exit to your camp site. The setting is on a small farm, beautiful surroundings with high rising tree covered mountains behind you. The freeway noise might require earplugs for light sleepers ( I had my earplugs in and it blocked out the noise pretty well). I slept well and drove out in the morning, hassle free! Thanks, Lisa! I'll be back again when I'm in the area!
Handy for the night
My boyfriend and I stayed here as the first stop on our trip across the country. It was handy for the night, right off the freeway - perfect for easy off and on. However there was goose poop everywhere. Maybe I should’ve expected that seeing as it’s a farm - but it was kinda nasty and a hassle to clean. Also, not the quietest. Trains, geese, and cars oh my! But once again, side of the freeway. Overall it worked, and it was cheap!
off the highway while passing through. Nice bar down the street to grab a bite and cold beer. The spot we stayed in was IN the cow pasture we rolled in late and was hard to see where you step 😳💩 wish we would have had a different spot on the property. Directions were a little confusing again as it was late and could not see the colors of the gates as specified. Answered the phone right away though to clear up confusion! Thanks for having us.
