Convenient and relaxing!
My 2 dogs and I stayed for a night on a long road trip and our convenient, quiet cabin was perfect for resting up. Lots of movies to borrow in the lodge, comfortable bed, perfect kitchenette, and easy to find.
We had a short stay here while on a cross country road trip (arrived late, left early) and were very comfortable despite a glitch on HipCamp's part that left the host unaware we were coming. Trina was accessible via phone after hours and got us set up in a super cozy cabin without even being on the property, and for that we are super grateful. This was my first time using instant-book and if I were to do so again I will make sure to make contact with the host directly if I can't reach them on the app, especially if booking short-ish notice. But again, I don't think this was the host's fault and we would absolutely come back and stay here again!
Quaint, Cody, relaxing, and nostalgic. The property was quiet, which we prefer over those super busy places like a KOA. The cabin itself was great: no electricity, all propane, which was a nice change of pace. I plan on building one like it myself on our property. You can hear a little highway noise, but it didn’t bother us any. The Ranch is conveniently located between Missoula, and Coeur D’Alene which makes both an easy day trip if you need something to do. The horses are friendly and will trade a pat on the head for a handful of grass. The lodge had a pool table which our boys enjoyed and, although we didn’t need it, a tv with a plethora of VHS for viewing in case of a rainout. Overall a great experience and we will be back.
Absolutely LOVED Mountain Dreams! Check in process was quick and easy, the ranch is beautiful, and the cabin is just perfect. We walked around the ranch and said hi to the horses, cooked our dinner with the supplies provided by Trina (pots, pans, plates, utensils, coffee, etc.), and ended up having a comfy, nostalgic movie night in the lodge watching Jumanji using the VCR haha!
The cabin was up at the top of the hill, which we loved because it was removed from the rest of the cabins/ranch. The bed hit two comfortably - no need to bring your own bedding!
Thank you for making it an awesome anniversary trip with our stay at Mountain Dreams!
Quaint little red cabin
Cute little cabin as part of a guest ranch (the hip camp cabin is off in its own section so is more private). There is some highway noise but it’s nestled in the trees so you don’t actually see the highway. If you’re looking for a getaway and want to be deep in nature/away from man made noise this may not be the place for you but we found it a charming little place to use instead of a hotel on our way across the state. It was quite lovely & relaxing eating dinner on the porch and walking around the grounds/lodge. The cabin was clean and had many amenities provided. I think my only suggestion would be a little pamphlet or posting in the cabin that lets you know the wifi password and any instructions for operating anything in the cabin (propane stove & lamps). Would definitely come back to this quaint red cabin in the woods!
Wow, this was wonderful and greatly exceeded my expectations. The cabin we stayed in was really neat and comfortable, and the grounds were safe and easy to walk around. This was a great rest and recovery spot in the middle of our travels from Montana to the coast. I would love to stay here again the next time I make the trip.
Fun and comfy cabin
Trina was an awesome host and the Mountain Dreams cabin was super neat. The view from the cabin porch was perfect and we had a nice roaring fire outside in the fire pit / barrel that took some of the evening chill off. Everything was nice and clean (and even wrapped in Saran Wrap!) and the bed was comfy. Ps., if your GPS guides you to an old cemetery ... you haven't gone quite far enough down the frontage road. I guess Apple Maps frequently does this, Trina got a kick out of hearing that yet another Hipcamper had been sent to the cemetery first! :-)
Fun cozy little cabin!
Awesome little cabin that was clean and cozy. My husband and I were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and were planning on going to West Glacier but because of the wildfire smoke we decided to not drive as far and go explore Lolo national forest and ride the Hiawatha trail instead. We had a awesome experience here and we had the place to ourselves most likely because of the heavy smoke in the air the first night. Trina was very nice and I would definitely recommend this place. The horses roaming the property was a bonus too.
