**** OFF SEASON - REOPENING MARCH 2022 ****
With amazing Rocky Mountain views, the Willow Creek Cabin is located on it's own 5.6 acres lot over looking Willow Creek Reservoir. There is easy access to the reservoir by small country road (Tamarack Ln). It is a nice walk, or drive away. The reservoir is located approximately a 1/2 mile from the campsite and is open to recreation such as swimming, boating, paddle boarding, fishing (stocked with large trout for fishing/ ice fishing), and seasonal hunting. Please abide by Montana's - Willow Creek Reservoir fishing and hunting guidelines/ rules.
The cabin overlooks the Bob Marshall Wilderness/ mountain range. Sun Canyon is located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness approximately 20 miles from the property. Sun Canyon hosts a seasonal bar/ restaurant as well as horseback riding tours into the Bob Marshall Wilderness (check with lodge for booking/ availability).
At times the property experiences high winds, so tents are not recommended. Truck campers and travel trailers are welcome at the property (no hookup or septic services are available). There are a few good (level) areas to park your trailer/ camper.
At the moment there is no running water/ pluming or electricity (utility) at the cabin site. There are 2 x 5 gallon water dispensers. One in the cabin kitchenet for drinking/ cooking and one at the outdoor dishwashing station (next to the cabin).
There is an outhouse located about 100 ft from the cabin and is designated for the Willow Creek Cabin guests only (see pictures).
In the cabin, there is a small 100 watt solar panel connected to a 12 volt battery and an AC power converter for your small electronic charging needs (cell, tablet). The converter also powers three low voltage lights. There is one light in the loft and two on the main floor. Night light/ power running times or usage is limited due to lack of sun at night for recharging the battery.
4G cell coverage is present at the cabin and has a really good signal for most cell providers.
The cabin has a queen size bed in the loft. The sofa also doubles as a sleeper (full size).
Also available (by request prior to arrival): A a small twin size cot and mattress (with bedding).
There are neighbors nearby (across the road), so please abide to the posted hipcamp noise curfew and policies.
This a large private subdivision. That means there is no hunting within the subdivision and no discharge of firearms or fireworks of any kind.
* Access to the loft area is by way of a stair style wooden ladder and is not recommended to be used by small children, people with balance/ mobility issues or those with fear of heights. * Do not use if intoxicated/ impaired! The sofa doubles as a full size bed and bedding to fit is available inside the cabin.
* Fires are also not permitted during area fire bans or during high wind conditions.
* Do not leave food outside of the cabin as there are most of Montana's wild animals in the area and will draw them into the camp.
* Even though we love pets, there are * no pets allowed * of any kind inside the cabin. We use to allow dogs, but they quickly ruined the cabin sofa and caused the cleaning turnover time to increase substantially for management. Unfortunately It is a cost issue. * Exception * : Hunting dogs are allowed in the cabin, only if crated, and only during Montana/ area hunting seasons. Hunters who wish to bring their dogs, must notify the cabin owner prior to arrival. Thank you.
* No smoking of any kind * inside * the cabin. Smoking outside is okay, only if you dispose of the butts and ash in a safe manner in your own non-flammable sealed container and must be kept outside. Thank you.
**** The cabin's * kerosene heater * and * camp stove * may only be used in the cabin with at least one cabin window cracked (minimum of 1 inch wide) while in use. This is to promote healthy oxygen/ air exchange in the cabin and also prevents the smoke and fire alarms from alerting. If the windows are not vented in this way while using gas flame appliances indoors, it is an extreme health hazard and can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning and or death. The original igniting and operating instructions are located/ printed on each appliance by the manufacturers.

An incredible stay! The views were phenomenal and the cabin is perfectly cozy. The cabin is fully equipped with cooking utensils, kerosene heater, and an very comfortable bed. Our hosts were very communicative and helpful with anything we needed. Wish we had more than a night here!
Worth every penny
If youre looking for a camping experience without having to deal with the elements, this is perfect. Great views of the Bob in the distance with very cool rolling ranch land inbetween. Very remote feel to it.
Cabin has everything you need in terms of heat, cooking utensils and supplies, hell there was even coffee and tea in there. Brought everything i needed, but didnt have to use hardly any of my own gear.
Host was more than gracious. I drove an AWD Volvo S60 in and felt a little undermatched due to the road conditions and ground clearance. Matt, the host, was kind enough to guide me on my way out and make sure a guy didnt get stuck in the mud. Was very kind and an unwarranted courtesy.
Definetly take the advice of driving a 4x4 in. I made it in my AWD car, but the bottom of my ride took some punishment. I wouldnt drive it in again. Bring something with ample ground clearance for sure.
Overall, an awesome experience and I highly recommend.
Amazing cabin for a weekend getaway
Such an amazing cabin to stay in. Everything was provided. From decks of cards, to dishes and a stove top, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.
It was really smokey I’m the area from wildfires, but the location was still beautiful.
12 out of 10 highly recommend staying here!
The owners was very responsive and even offered to drive out to find us and guide us to the cabin if we got lost.
Shelter from the storm
We arrived just ahead of a rainstorm so we’re super grateful for an early arrival! Spotless and everything we needed was there. Plus beautiful views and lots of big sky!
We will be back!
A peaceful, quiet evening
Such a fun stay! The cabin was really well equipped (gas camping stove, utensils, pans, etc). Bed was comfy and the entire place was spotless. It was so peaceful and quiet out there. Even with the smoke from the wildfires, I could still see the mountains and enjoyed a wonderful sunset. If you're looking for a camping like experience without having to setup a tent, etc. this is place to go. Plus the outhouse had some great views.
