Super cozy little cabin with great access to Emigrant Peak. I stayed there over New Year's Eve and can't think of a place I'd rather be. It was exactly what I wanted, I only wish it was outside cellphone reception to complete the solitary experience. I love the little heater and exterior stove.
We really enjoyed our stay.
The cabin smelled wonderfully of fresh milled wood, and the sound of rushing water from the creek lulled us fast asleep. My 11 year old declared that he could live there, and enjoy a simple life.
Josh was a great host, and I highly recommend staying in one of his cabins.
This was a wonderful place to hide from the rain. We loved the quiet, the creek, the rich wood scent of the cabin, and the elegant structure itself. We arrived in the dark from Yellowstone and as we left the next day, I was amazed to see tall, snow capped mountains and rolling meadows around us. I would love to go back.
True wildness oasis:)
This was a true wilderness oasis! Such beautiful craftsmanship, a comfy bed, a creek nearby, a nice and clean wood chipping toilet, and a great host! Josh met us at the cabin to be sure we were set up for the night and iron out some details about the propane stove and to make sure we had lights! We can’t wait to stay again, and hopefully longer next time! Highly recommend this stay!!
A group of us (family and friends) rented out all three of Josh's cabins this past weekend, although even booking one of these cabins would be super private as they are far away from each other. Our good friends stayed in this cabin and loved it. This is an exceptional piece of land, with a cold rushing creek for us to beat the heat, meadows with butterflies and flowers, privacy, and great views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Josh has this place completely dialed in and the experience is exceptional. Great cabins, nice outdoor picnic and dining area, a great outdoor gas stove, and even a gas-powered fire pit since there was a wood burning fire ban when we were there. We had a chance to meet Josh and his wife and father along the way when they came to check in with us and make sure everything was good, and they were all genuinely very nice people. Josh was a great communicator from the initial booking process through the trip. Highly recommended, an awesome experience. We are looking forward to returning.
