Fox campsite is 1 of 5 of our campsites. Fox is a pull off parking campsite that is set up to handle 16' length trailer to a 24' motorhome. We have a rock fire ring that can be used when the weather permits fires. There is a wooden picnic table at this site. There is space to set up a tent. For size reference on the tent space the tent in the pictures is a 10x14 and there was still plenty of room to have a bigger tent. Elk is in the middle of the camping area so there are 2 sites on either side.

Our property is several acres and has a lot of wildlife ranging from deer, elk, moose and occasional bears (bear spray), to lots of birds including great gray owls. There are occasional songbirds singing but you'll hear our roosters too. During the warmer months there are marmots laying about on the rocks and you can hear them whistling at each other. Sometimes there are toads that are hopping through.

Sheep Mountain is nearby and has disc golf and rock climbing.

Each campsite has a peekaboo view of Elkhorn Peak and Crow Peak. Some have a view of the Elkhorn Mountain Range.

Campsites are along a ridge with trees. The driveway conditions vary depending on the weather, 4wd is recommended but not necessary during dry weather.

Cell phone service is spotty along the ridge with pretty much no service anywhere else.

There is a field near the ridge where the campsites are located. It is a sloped field that is great for watching the night sky!

Please respect the private areas of our property and stay out of the ponds including keeping pets away from the ponds. There are roads that we have marked with no motorized access signs that are great for taking walks!

Great campsite, beautiful views, nice level campsites with easy pull in. Only a few miles off I-15, great description of sites and directions of Ridge Camp at Hipcamp. Abundant wildlife, wild flowers and views. Very quite and peaceful experience.. Not your typical noisy crowded rv camp, we'll be back.

Wow, What a magical spot, I was so surprised by the solitude up on the Ridge camp. I found this site as an option to be closes to Helena for a soccer tournament. I wish I could have been there more. Watching the sun set over the mountains and hearing the night hawks was wonderful. Jill was an excellent host. She made sure I found the site and had everything squared away. I would love to return and do some mountain biking next time. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for a private camping experience.
