Close to the river, but sadly we were unable to actually get to the water because there was no path and the grass/weeds were overgrown. we were really looking forward to sitting by and in the water, so this was a big disappointment. The spot was nice, views were nice. There is a shooting range very close by that was noisy until sundown. Beautiful location
Roger is a friendly and delightful host. His land is beautiful and conveniently located for so many nearby adventures. The water was high when we stayed and a we loved listening to the rushing river as we fell asleep and again waking up. We saw a beaver, thanks to Rodger spotting it during the meet and greet; then later multiple bald eagles as well a number of other wild life.
Rodger’s description of the property is transparent and accurate. The train blows its horn close to the highway, so the trains weren’t bothersome, not was the shooting range. We stayed in #2 and the highway noise was audible but very subdued and in no way kept us up. His firewood bundle was good wood that burned nicely and a fair amount. Another group was in #1 and we couldn’t hear them, let alone see them. It was a perfect retreat from suburban noise.
Roger was a great host. We stayed 3 nights in our 38 ft fifth wheel. The road was a little bumpy going in but the trailer leveled fine. We stayed in the farther site down the river. It was very relaxing. We sat outside a lot and watched the trains pass by (no horns, the track is across the river and not loud at all!) There’s a rifle range across the river and up the hills that we could hear but it wasn’t a nuisance. We watched the beavers swim by and a few boaters. Bring bug spray. The mosquitos will eat you alive in the evening. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Roger! 😊
Roger was very friendly and helpful! He showed us right to our site and camping right along the river was beautiful. The interstate is in the distant view, but you can’t hear anything but the river flowing and the trees in the breeze.
Site 2 is steps away from the water but all the trees are across the river. Site 1 is a minute walk to river but tucked along a grove of cottonwoods.

Roger’s campsite is amazing! And he is such a great host! We cannot wait to come back and are so thankful for his hospitality. The views of the river and mountains are top notch and you can’t find better hospitality. Definitely recommend!
Roger is a fantastic host! Great communication, super helpful, and full of interesting stories. It was cool to hear a little history of the area and his life as a farmer. We came for the fishing, but the rivers were still too high and muddy. However, he does have the absolute perfect location if you want to do any fishing or exploring. Three Forks is also a very cute town with good coffee, pastries, pies, books, antique store….. We will definitely come back and stay with Roger again! Thank you!
We had to make a sudden stop and our host, Roger, was kind, approachable, and accommodating. The site was VERY nice and clean, right next to a beautiful river. Wonderful views of Big Sky!
The property is audibly close to a rifle range and close to train tracks. The location is not quiet, but it is nowhere near over bearing enough to consider an alternative location.
The location is near the Missouri Headwater State Park and a few other historical places and hikes. Our family of four would stay here again!!

Perfect place to get away from it all. Right on the river. Roger was a great host. Would
Highly recommend this!

Beautiful spot on the river with lots of privacy. Roger was responsive, kind and helpful. We loved hearing all of the birds, the rush of the high spring water, and the occasional passing train. Road noise is unfortunately also present but far enough away that it didn’t bother our sense of peace. This is a farm so the abundant cow and horse manure was to be expected.
