Awesome night under the stars!
We had an awesome stay at this camp spot. The tent was awesome the fire pit was awesome the outdoor restrooms and the water source was awesome. The stars at night just being out in nature was amazing. We were a little under prepared and needed to bring a better sleepy bag but will be prepared next time.
Quiet, gorgeous glamping
My friends and I loved this spot. The tent was clean and so cozy. There was firewood, a picnic table, comfy chairs and a clean bathroom.
The view was gorgeous and the area was quiet except for a brook and bird song.
We had a lovely time staying here! The hosts, Don and his wife, were very accommodating and friendly. They offered us free firewood and a 5-gallon jug of water as soon as we arrived. The glamping tent was very clean (albeit some spiders) and the firepit and picnic table were great. We used the grate over the firepit to grill some delicious steaks for dinner. The little creek next to the tent provided some nice background noise while we read our books under the shade of the aspens. At sunset, the mountain views were especially beautiful. The mattress in the tent is an air mattress (not a futon mattress like we mistakenly thought), so be sure to bring some extra insulation for underneath you if it's chilly at night. Don't miss out on hiking up to Sweathouse Creek Falls; the trailhead is right up the road.
6 out of 5 - definitely recommend!
If I could give 6 out of 5, I would! Donald and his wife thought of everything for a comfortable, carefree stay. Solar powered lights, clean bathrooms, tidy camp spaces, firewood, and top notch hiking recommendations.
We stayed in the glamping tent, next to several tent camping spots, and could not have been more pleased. The tent and surrounding area was meticulously maintained, to include a spacious fire pit, picnic table, and gently babbling creek. Near enough to town for groceries, but far enough for privacy and beautiful night skies. Stay here if you can!
