This property is secluded on the edge of a prairie with views of Bar Z mountain and wide-open views of the Montana Sky with zero light pollution. It is less than 1 mile from Lower Thompson Lake public access and over 16 other lakes within 20 miles. Thompson River flows through the prairie and a short drive down Thompson River Road will give access to 55 miles of excellent Fly fishing as well as ATV/UTV/dirt bike trails and fire roads as far as your gas tank can take you. 3 miles away you have Logan State Park. Have a wet hot American summer at Logan, the state park nestled within a dense douglas fir and ponderosa pine forest. It’s easy to pretend you’re back at summer camp with an afternoon of swimming in Middle Thompson Lake, or a game of horseshoes that lasts until the ring of the dinner bell. Logan has all the dependable summer classics, with some supa fine lake views thrown in. Water ski, fish, and motor boat to your inner 12 year-old heart’s content. Paddle all the way across the lake and take in the sight of tall mountains blanketed in green. There’s nothing but mile after mile of forest here. End the night with a group talent show on the water and you’ll be tearing up like it’s the final night of Summer ‘98 (or ‘88...or ‘08?). Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. The house has been removed from this property and the site has been converted with 50 amp electrical and well access for RVs. This site is 100% secluded/private with no other campgrounds nearby. The views of the prairie and Elk herd are beautiful during the day and the stars are stunning at night. there are 2 restaurants/bars within 15 miles in either direction on Hwy 2
