Need a safe, quiet escape that's not too far from Interstate 70? The outdated google map doesn't show it, but all sites have gravel to and through them. Backing is only required for site 3 and there is plenty of room for corrections if needed.

This area provides a Missouri Ozark border region "Front Porch Experience".     There are no artificial lights, so views of the sky are very good.  There are country sounds like birds, coyotes, horses, frogs, and occasionally a vehicle on the gravel road.

In addition to camping, you can walk a trail or canopied gravel road to stretch your legs.  Feeling adventurous? One mile to the north, there is a old iron bridge that is closed to vehicle traffic. It has a plank floor with some missing planks.  Locals fish from it. It is a great place to take artsy pictures.  You can walk, bike, or ride your horse on our county road. The WORLD famous Katy Trail is a biking/walking trail that was re-purposed from a railway. It is about a 15-20 minute drive away.  A local chef ( 8 miles away) makes THE BEST carry out pizza on Friday and Saturday nights.  About 20 minutes away in Boonville with many dining option, and Columbia of course has everything.  There is fishing available from  our own private river access at the Petite Saline creek. The stream is quiet, slow backwater whose level depends on the Missouri River level.  Access is not ideal, but determined canoers and kayakers will enjoy the rich biological diversity including jumping Silver Carp.

They had a very nice layout remote and peaceful yet easy to get to if you follow there directions. Electric was great to have but not necessary. They were great to talk too which was fun. Meeting the people is always fun.

A beautiful, peaceful location just a short country drive from the interstate. Nicely mowed site with level spots for a tent. We’ve stayed at this location several times now and there is always something new. Doug and Brenda’s place is always a quiet, relaxing place after a long day of driving.

I loved how helpful the host is. He offered me a covered place to put my tent before a thunderstorm. We slept snug and sheltered from the wind.

Amazingly peaceful and well appointed camping spot on the Selby Farm. Three sites with services as well as camping sites. Water and 30 amp service available, level gravels sites, portable toilet. Fireflies filled the skies at night. Doug and Brenda are welcoming, friendly and so generous with their time. We got to feed the horses, watch the chickens, take a guided ATV tour, walk the property AND just relax. Our dog loved it as she was able to roam leash free. If you make a reservation in advance, you can tour the nearby stables of the Budweiser Clydesdales. This was our first Hip Camp experience and it will be hard to top!!!

Awesome host Doug. We came with a tent with a thunderstorm due that night. Doug offered us a choice of spots. The one spot was to put our tent Ina house barn.

He explained the conditions around staying there and the benefits. After being skeptical I chose to follow his advice and camp there.

While the barn was not what I would choose in dry weather, it proved to be a godsend during our stay. A wet tent would have destroyed our adventure, not to mention the struggles of drying out everything once we got home.

I loved our time there, we definitely would recommend staying here again.
