On the property is a swimming pool for you to use - in season. And there's a fire ring nearby that you - and guests from other units - can share. We provide a load of firewood if you want. There is also a trail - 1/4 mile round trip, to a creek at the bottom of our property. It is steep at times and a bit muddy if it's been raining...

Cozy and calm
I loved the atmosphere Bill's got going on here! He was very welcoming and made me feel at home. I was looking for a day to myself before I went to visit some friends in St. Louis and it was a very calm and relaxing day! The next opportunity I get I would deff book again at the Bunk house. Really considering gathering some friends to stay at his yurt too :)
Staying at Bill’s bunkhouse was such a midway treat on my long drive. It was cozy, clean and had thoughtful details like Bill’s hand calligraphy note welcoming me. Bill showed me a lovely hike on the property in the morning and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and his knowledge of plants and Mother Nature. Thanks so much, Bill!
Peaceful, pretty getaway
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Bunk House. Bill was a friendly, welcoming host and available to answer questions as needed. The bunk house is clean, cute and cozy and my bed was comfortable. I appreciated the personal touch with the little welcome card. The bunk house is tucked next to a shed on one side and a drive and additional shed on the other side, but sitting on the little front porch was nice and you can see their large front yard with a pretty wildflower type garden and trees. There are lots of flowers all around the property this time of year! There are a couple of cool swings in one tree which kids would like. I turned off the air conditioner and opened my window at night to hear the sounds of nature and get the fresh air. During the heat of the day the air conditioner kept the cabin nice and cool. There was a friendly cat who visited me my first evening there. And then a friendly dog who kept me company the second evening. I took my coffee down to the dock on the pretty pond in the mornings. I enjoyed the short hike to the pretty creek. I explored up and down the creek a bit and then pulled a chair into the middle of the creek with feet in the cool water and read a book. It was very peaceful. It is buggy this time of year so don't forget your bug repellent like I did! I enjoyed the cool, refreshing well water and filled my water bottles up several times with it! All in all a very nice little spot and I will probably be back as it happens to be located very close to where my daughter and grandson live!
This place was great! Bill was very communicative prior to and after arrival. The land was great, the lodging was great, there were so many thoughtful touches. It was very comfortable, there were too wonderful cats that took a little hike with us, Bill made us feel very welcome to explore everything on his land. Would absolutely recommend and return.
