Gorgeous! great weekend
Gorgeous! We stayed in mid October for 2 nights. Cool in the evening for a fire and warm during the day. Put up our hammocks and laid in the sun by the creek all weekend. Only one other group was there for one of the nights. Was great having the space to ourselves but think we would’ve felt cramped if 3 other people had reservations as well. FirePit is large and communal. If you have a camper- getting in and out of the the gate is VERY tight. Would recommend asking if you can stay inside the gate right by the water which isn’t a designated camping spot but the only area you’ll be able to get to with relative ease w/a camper. It’s doable- but not comfortable and if you’re a newbie with backing up I wouldn’t even attempt it. Back up camera or another person to help navigate is a must. Autumn was accommodating- let us fill water at the house. We’d love to come back. Fishing poles/supplies, water noodles, hammock, washers, picnic table and fire pit made this a great spot to hang out. 20 min from town if you need anything.
Second time here
Was a blast. Autumn leaves extra stuff at the site - hammocks, fishing poles, rc racer car that kept my kids entertained while waiting for camp meals. Site 1 is right by the water, which we still chose to jump in for a little ice plunge in October. Great time all around.
Autumn was a great host. Super cool campground with a great swimming hole. Crystal clear water for swimming and fishing. We had some of their pork steaks and brats and they were delicious.
Such and such was a beautiful and tranquil spot for our overnight camping trip with two adults and two children. We booked with Autumn on a recommendation from a friend and were not disappointed. The kids loved getting to meet the animals on the farm tour and we enjoyed our campfire and relaxing in the hammocks in the evening. Would absolutely recommend!
Impromptu camping trip w/ the kids
I found this spot on a whim and decided to take my kids for a night. When we arrived, we were amazed at how cool it was. It’s set up as 4 campsites but we were the only ones there that night so we had the place to ourselves. Autumn came and met us upon our arrival, delivered eggs and brats, gave us the lay of the land and showed us where our firewood was. (Get the brats!!! You will not be disappointed). We got to camp right by the creek. The swim hole is right there so there is no packing up or hauling things down to the creek. The water is very cold which felt amazing on a 90+ degree day. My 7 & 9 yr old had an absolute blast and asked when we were coming back again. We took the farm tour the next morning and the kids loved seeing the piglets, Gerty, the chickens and goats. It’s a very unique spot that turned out to be very convenient for a quick nights camping trip. Also, if you forget some minor things there is a BP like 2 miles up the road. Absolutely recommend. Hope we can come back soon. It would be perfect for a small group of friends or families. The hosts were very polite and communication was terrific. Check it out! And try the brats!
Autumn was super flexible when we needed to modify our trip due to weather. Thanks so much for a beautiful afternoon of swimming, grilling and celebrating our child's birthday!
This is a truly lovely spot and we are so grateful to Autumn for sharing this land! Swimming in the cool water on a hot August afternoon is such a treat. We relaxed in the hammocks and caught fireflies. My child and I caught a glimpse of a blue heron flying overhead as we went for an early morning swim. Magical! Thank you to Autumn for the warmth, generosity and awesome communication. We will be returning in a few weeks!
