Warm welcomes from Glenn were immediate! Our girls were given tortillas to feed his chickens. We received a whole tour of his farm and had hot coffee in the morning. The sunset on this little plot of land was incredible. We had a great time. Perfect place to stop in Minnesota.
Peaceful and welcoming!
We had a wonderful stay at Glenn’s farm. The land is beautiful, and we enjoyed meeting the chickens, cows, dogs, and cats that call the farm home. The hosts went above and beyond to welcome us to their farm and in their home. We loved hearing the family stories and learning about organic farming. We came home with lots of happy memories…and a cooler full of humanely raised grass-fed beef as well!
The site was perfect for us. It was easy to park and level our camper (no backing required) and we appreciated hooking up to water and electricity.
While camping at Yellow Medicine Farm, we spent our days hiking at six different state parks within an hours drive. We also enjoyed a visit to Talking Waters brewery.
What a great stay! We will be back!
Glenn was a great host and we had a fantastic stay. We brought our camper to Glenn’s farm in early November. Glenn was very welcoming, the property was beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay very much!
Throughly enjoyed our stay. The hosts were great to talk and we learned about the workings of their family farm. Our children enjoyed watching the chickens and exploring the property. There were very few bugs which made for a comfortable visit. At night you can see the Milky Way clearly.
Glenn’s land is utterly amazing. The farm is absolutely beautiful and it was fun to stay at a place that has been in his family for over 100 years. He was very kind and a wonderful host. We will stay here again.
Glenn and his wife are excellent hosts. I was on my third day of a 4-day motorcycle trip and it was nice to be invited to sit down with them and have a good conversation (although I get the feeling they would leave you be if that's what you wanted). They're both warm and hospitable, intelligent and witty. They're also busy with their farm but make it look easy, taking time to relax at their table outside, surrounded by their dogs, cat, chickens and cows. Definitely animal-friendly!
Enough about them for now, though. I stayed in their cabin, near the house, and it was simple and cozy. The mattress was "just right" to crash out on after a long day riding. There is plenty of room to set up a tent, but I opted to indulge myself.
Adorable host on a charming farm
Very friendly host. He took the time to show us around his farm and presenting us to his adorable dogs and cat. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. Glen id a funny, friendly and caring host.
He brought us two coffees outside when we were getting ready for breakfeast on his pic-nic table.
