Raven Watch 4-person Pondside Cabin

Raven Watch is a pretty, rustic cabin at Woods and Meadows Farm that has a comfortable futon downstairs next to the wood stove, composting toilet and limited kitchen (-you bring your own cooler and ice). Up the sturdy steps (FYI: no handrail) there is another bed for two in the bedroom loft, with more screened ventilating windows. It has a beautiful view of the pond and surrounding trees. Your cabin is remote, yet close to Duluth and Jay Cooke State Park. It was built with trees from this property, using our own sawmill, the summer of 2021, There is a gravel drive to Raven Watch, a quarter mile into the property next to our pond. If it happens to be particularly soft due to rain, we will give you a lift in our side-by-side, or you may choose to walk. Most of the time it is drivable. Near your cabin there is a picnic table and fire ring by Clear Creek. This may be used as an extra tent site ($30) just for your group to use. Park by the cabin between the hayfield and pond. Inside you will  have solar power for lights, a clean composting toilet, a kitchen with sink (gravity water tank) and propane stove, plus a wood stove for your use on cool nights. Firewood, drinkable water, kitchen utensils, coffee, tea and other basics provided. You may buy a half dozen eggs if our hens are cooperating. :) The solar battery won't reliably power a fridge or heating pads/electric blanket, but if it is sunny, you will have light and enough power to charge your cellphone for the evening. We will meet you to show you around, and there is camp info in a folder at the cabin.. There are two cabins on the property, and yours is furthest from the house, with trails into the woods for you to hike. Enjoy!
