Welcome to our family farm! Our 49 acres of rolling woods and prairie are located 1 hour south of the Twin Cities, 5 miles east of the Faribault exit. You will have privacy and shade in our camp site, surrounded by wild raspberry bushes. In the farmyard we have 4 free range laying hens, 3 friendly farm kitties, and scenic farm buildings. Lightning bugs fill the yard at night. Just a few steps from your campsite we have 2 hiking/walking trails-- a sunny prairie trail and a shady woods trail.
We have 2 camp sites. Site #1 is a tent camp site including a picnic table, fire ring, and portable toilet. You can pull up to the campsite to unload, and parking is a short walk away in the driveway. In case of rain, you can use the open shed near your campsite as a rain shelter. The views of the Cannon River valley at sunset are spectacular and you will enjoy our peace and quiet.
Site #2 is the RV site. It is on the flat gravel driveway behind the house. No backing needed- our driveway is a horseshoe, so you can pull right through. We can only accommodate boondocking as we do not have water, sewer or electrical hookups. You may use the porta potty. There is not a picnic table or fire ring at this site, but if the tent site is open, you can use the ones there.
We also accept WWOOFers as volunteers.
We are 3 miles from downtown Faribault, 12 miles from scenic Northfield, and 5 miles from the beautiful Nerstrand Big Woods State Park. You can go boating in Minnesota’s lakes country, visit nearby wineries, go golfing at 3 local public golf courses.

Super nice host. Nice quiet property with chickens and country cats. Would advise sending them an ETA. The city of Faribault is beautiful with lots of parks and activities. Bicycling, walking and dining is easy.

Very nice private campsite. Clean Biffy. Loved the prairie walk and friendly chickens.
The property was exactly as advertised. The campsite was at the back of the farmyard, but with only one group campsite we still felt like we had privacy. Mercedes was very responsive to our questions and requests. There were some mosquitoes, but not horrible. Mercedes sprinkled mosquito repellent when we asked for it. The porta-potty was the cleanest one I have ever seen.
Nerstrand Big Woods state park is close by for hiking and Faribault is only a couple of miles away for anything you might need.
